4.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for me
If you are looking for the newest advances in cell phone technology, then the T-Mobile Razr isn't it. However, it never claimed to be. It's selling point is size which is perfect. The way to view missed alarms or calls without opening the phone is to press the button on the right side of the phone. (Read the manual, maybe?!) My photos are great, and I have printed...

3.0 out of 5 stars I own one
I have a Motorola Pink Razr through Cingular. I would describe the color as being a salmon-y magenta. I met a lady with one she got through a different service, and hers was a very pretty almost pastel lilac-y pink. So I wonder if the color varies slightly depending on which service you go through. After all, they have red Razr's in Europe.

I'm not thrilled...

3.0 out of 5 stars I own one, May 30, 2006
This review is from: Motorola RAZR V3 Magenta (T-Mobile) (Wireless Phone)
I have a Motorola Pink Razr through Cingular. I would describe the color as being a salmon-y magenta. I met a lady with one she got through a different service, and hers was a very pretty almost pastel lilac-y pink. So I wonder if the color varies slightly depending on which service you go through. After all, they have red Razr's in Europe.

I'm not thrilled with my phone, although it's not been too terrible. My biggest problem with it is that I expected the outside window, which is quite big enough, to alert me when I get messages or miss calls. It does NOT. If I miss a call, I only find out when I flip the phone open. Same thing when I've set the alarm clock. If I miss hearing the alert sound, I don't realize an alarm has gone off until I open the phone. Seems a shame to waste all that window space on just the time, when it could be put to good use to display a message once in awhile.

I also do not like the picture quality. I cannot get a good picture from the phone. Most of the time it's overexposed. All of the time the color is very desaturated and blah.

While using the phone itself, though, I've had very few problems. Yes, it's big and kinda bulky, but it's still enough of a novelty to get at least one comment a week from someone who admires you for owning a Pink RAZR. I also like how the phone slips into a purse or pocket without a lot of bulk.

Two experiences with other razrs: 1) My son had his razr stepped on, and it snapped in half, literally. Thicker phones could have held up. 2) My friend had a razr and something happened to shatter the outer screen. I guess it's more vulnerable.

My friend also hates her Razr because it's very difficult to hold it to your ear with your shoulder. I personally rarely hold a phone that way, but if it's important to you, well, the Razr makes it difficult, although not impossible.

Those are my thoughts. I'll keep it until the next newest and greatest phone comes out. I won't necessarily stick to the Razr. (I'm looking forward to an Apple phone someday.)

1.0 out of 5 stars motorola listen up!, May 23, 2006
This review is from: Motorola RAZR V3 Magenta (T-Mobile) (Wireless Phone)
Cons
1. camera color balance is AWFUL. Everything has a bluish purple cast. (motorola blue flip phone camera was good)
2. phone randomly shuts down (learned that this is a software problem admitted by tmobile-hey ever thought of FIXING THIS?)
3. software interface is TEDIOUS. Take 5 steps backwards to move 1 step is the best way to describe it.
4. dropping it (on carpeting) is fun-we all drop them right? the only way to turn it back on is to plug in the charger. try that when you're out and about.
5. don't bother with "pay as you go". if you send a picture to another phone on the same account with t-mobile, they run you throuh a sign up here at this website to view the picture (you'll use extra extra minutes on the web)
6. GRRRRRRR The phone randomly shuts down --twice while trying to type this review. JUNK JUNK JUNK
7. the exterior screen (good idea but cruddy execution) doesn't work all the time
Pros (stretching to come up with them)
1. exterior screen - shows time, battery charge, picture. Lets you close the phone while using the camera.
2. basically a pro is that it's a cellphone
3. the pink doesn't scratch off easily
4. it's pretty slim for the pocket

If my friend asked me if they should get a motorola phone I'd steer them very clear of it.

If you want a bells and whistles phone, you should probably research a little more thoroughly before complaining about features that were never claimed to exist.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good Combination of style and function, June 26, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Motorola RAZR V3 Magenta (T-Mobile) (Wireless Phone)
I've used this phone for about a month and everything works fine. It has great reception, easy navigate design, and sharp LCD screen. It is definitely an "it" phone if you are looking for a thin phone to slip into your purse and grab.
The only problem I had was the outside display. It is hard to tell the time or a missing call unless it is lit. Other than this, I have nothing to complain about. In short, I love this phone and strongly recommend to any girl like me!

4.0 out of 5 stars A great cellphone!, April 30, 2006
This review is from: Motorola RAZR V3 Magenta (T-Mobile) (Wireless Phone)
This is the very lastest in technology that money can buy, it' got everything. From a camera to organizing all your dates and events, this phone is great for those on the go people, with not very much time, but lots of things to do.There was one thing i did'nt like about this phone though. It's a flip phone, which normaly is quite stylish, but when you open this one out it's really big, really thin, but really long, making it look sometimes old fasioned to me.Other than that this is a great product.A cool querky desing makes it ultra desirable to the professional end of the market.

Overall, i really enjoyed this phone.Well built, well desinged, and most of all, stylish.Really, it's quite something.
Sam Worrall rating:4 stars.Motorals best product in a long time.

5.0 out of 5 stars So far so good!, December 5, 2006
This review is from: Motorola RAZR V3 Magenta (T-Mobile) (Wireless Phone)
I keep waiting for at least one of the numerous complaints to happen to my phone, but alas, I keep waiting (thankfully!). I have dropped it, twice, from a short distance however, but it did not break right away like other people have claimed. The interface is great, Motorola has one of the better ones. It has all the options I want on it although there are a lot of them and it can be confusing at times. However, if you use the manual you'll get the most out of it. It sounds great and has good reception. I also like that it is wider then most phones so I don't have to press it to my ear. I can hear fine with just a corner of the phone to my ear which is a lot more comfortable. As for T-mobile service, I have been with them for 4+ years and have never had a complaint. They have they the best plans and the best customer service.

4.0 out of 5 stars Love the phone, hate the battery life!, September 3, 2006
This review is from: Motorola RAZR V3 Magenta (T-Mobile) (Wireless Phone)
Having had every new gadget imaginable I must report that I LOVE this phone because I can take pictures and make videos! I LOATHE having to charge the battery everyday! Perhaps I just got a bad battery but I've NEVER had to charge any phone daily. Keep in mind that I leave my phone on 24/7. Maybe I should turn it off. Does anyone else have this same syndrome?

If you're a shutterbug like me, you will love this phone. I didn't even mention the hot pink/magenta color which all gals love.

One note of caution, If you live in hurricane alley like me, you may want to carry a spare battery just in case they don't take down the cell phone towers before the storm. It may be useless locally but you can at least tell your people you're still among the living and need money to escape the carnage!

3.0 out of 5 stars The Magenta Razr is okayyy, August 6, 2006
This review is from: Motorola RAZR V3 Magenta (T-Mobile) (Wireless Phone)
I like this phone alot. I have always owned plain Nokia's and decided to get something that looked cool. This phone has three way calling which comes in handy. You can record a voice record and take pictures of friends for picture calling id. It is magenta (t-mobile). The color does not scratch off at all. I have noticed that sometimes it turns off (weird) when it is about to lose power. The battery charge does seem to be very short. I thought it was wierd that T-mobile offered to sell me an extra battery right away - it was one of the first optional accessories.

A Kid's Review
This review is from: Motorola RAZR V3 Magenta (T-Mobile) (Wireless Phone)
i love the t-mobile pink razr, because its the perfect shade for me, but what stinks is, in school sometimes i carry my phone in my back pocket, and when i go to turn it on at the end of the day, it's on! i wouldn't want to get my phone taken away because of its lack to stay off. if u carry it in a purse, it doesn't have this problem. its sleek design is perfect for if u have limited room in a purse or pocket. Definitely a good phone for if u travel internationally 2. before leaving the country, dial 611 from your t-mobile phone, and get the service to use it overseas, and the best part is udon't pay monthly for the service, its free, and all u pay for is what u use!!!

I just upgraded my Samsung phone from T-mobile, to this Razr and I am truly happy with my choice. This phone is the bomb.

Pros:
Large Screen
Great Camera and Video Recorder
Good volume
Loud Ringer

Cons:
The display light doesn't stay on for very long
Phone doesn't save all of one person's numbers under one contact.
