HI All,

Well it would seem that a decision has been made in the Mobile World to standardize on Micro-USB ports for all mobile devices. When and if it happens is yet to be seen.

I recently acquired a Blackberry 8900 (BlackBerry Curve 8900 Javelin Unlocked Cell Phone with 3.2 MP Camera, GPS, Stereo Bluetooth, Media Player, MicroSD Slot--International Version with No Warranty (Titanium) which has a micro-usb port on it. The blackberry does come with the AC adapter and usb charging/syncing cable...but I wanted to use my older accessories without having to buy new ones. These adapters allow exactly that. They let you use regular USB to USB MINI cables/chargers, etc with a device that has a micro usb port.

Simple and efficient. The price cant be beat since a cable will cost a bit more then just this adapter alone.

I bought this to use as an adapter for the Kindle 2. It charges and the data connect works too.

This adapter works great with my Verizon Motorola Droid cellphone. Even though the Droid has a replaceable battery, I carry an external USB battery to recharge my Droid on the go (I also use the battery to charge my to the iPod Touch - although I find myself using the iPod Touch less now that I have the Droid). I can recharge the external battery from any USB port independently. However many external USB batteries re-charge via a mini USB cable, so now I can carry only the mini USB cable and the adapter. To recharge my external USB battery I use the mini USB cable, and the same cable with the adapter to recharge my Droid.

At&t and Verizon stopped selling these in store because it is a much cheaper option than buying a whole new charger. Of course they are more interested in making money than saving you money. It is a must have if all your chargers are USB mini and now you have a phone that is a USB micro. Don't waste your money on buying a whole new charger. Thats just a waste of money.

I am very pleased with product; it saved me from buying 4 new home and car chargers. Also 1 charger will now charge ear bud with old Micro USB, and phone with Mini USB. Moto Hologram sticker looks to be not counterfeit. Only problem found when purchasing 4 the postage was not discounted, but they shipped in one package. Postage cost was more than adapter.

When I first bought my phone, the micro USB was new and I couldn't find a car charger. This solved my dilema and since my daughter needed 1 as well, I decided to purchase 2. I was charged separate shipping and handling charges, yet both items were delivered in the same package. I needed the items at the time, but I won't do it again.

I have a collection of Motorola and BlackBerry wall chargers with the older Micro-USB connector. I purchased a new BlackBerry Bold that uses the Mini-USB connector. It was great to be able to continue using all of those chargers instead of throwing them out and buying all new, and if someone needs to charge an older Micro-USB device I've still got a charger around for that. The little loop of string allows you to tie the adapter onto the charger cord so even if you disconnect the adapter it's still right there.

I selected this compared to some of the other adapters that didn't have a cable between the two connectors because I was concerned those would cause excess strain on the USB port of my phone.

Two things;
1. First of all, the product picture could give the impression that there are two of these adapters in the package; there is only one. It just shows views of each end of the adapter.
2. It works great! I upgraded to a Blackberry 8900 from a BB Curve; the 8900 uses a micro-USB port and all the support devices I had for the Curve (charger, etc.) use standard USB. This adapter is an extremely inexpensive way to convert everything to be used with my new Blackberry!! I can use everything, charger, cables, etc. without having to purchase all these items.

I suggest you get two of these, I ended up having to purchase a second one anyway; that way I have one in my briefcase for mobile use and one at home for use with fixed location devices.

The Mini to Micro cable adapters work great. They were just what I was looking for.

The price was GREAT although the shipping charges were a bit high.

Overall I am very happy with my purchase.

Using the adapter to charge my LG EnV2 with my Blackberry adapter. One less thing to carry. Works great. Does not work with mini-USB data cables to transfer data--only power is connected--in case you are wondering. But that is consistent with the original description.
