I just bought a Droid Razr. I took advantage of the one cent sale Amazon Wireless is having. My former phone was the Samsung Code, which was a Windows 6.1 version. I was with MetroPCS. I'm in Tampa. I really like the Razr so far. I've only had it a week.

HD Station: I did my usual google and youtube research. I was going to buy the regular HD dock which is half the price, but doesn't have the USB ports on the back like the HD Station does. I couldn't find any of the HD docks available for shipping any time soon. After doing some more research, I just went to my local Verizon wireless store and bought one of the HD Stations. The Station comes with an micro HDMI cable. It's actually almost 4 feet long. I'm running the dock into my pioneer receiver with the included HDMI cable. From the receiver the signal goes to a samsung led tv by HDMI.

I thought about using bluetooth for a mouse and a keyboard. I found out there might be some pairing issues or even some slowdowns when playing audio or video when pairing both a bluetooth mouse and a bluetooth keyboard. So before i bought anything else, I hooked up a wired usb mouse and a wired usb keyboard to the back of the dock. well, that worked fine. The sound works perfectly also thru HDMI. There is a mini stereo port on the back of the dock to plug in some computer type speakers if that's your setup. I could navigate the dock image on the tv with no problems. Scrolling worked fine as did the mouse cursor. Mouse clicks worked good too. Typing text worked perfectly. Next I was considering the Logitech 400 model keyboard. It has the mini 2.4 ghz usb receiver. It also has a track-pad built into it so I wouldn't have to have a mouse. I finally ruled that on out because there was no back-lighting on the keys.

This dock really offers quite a lot to the droid razr. I bought one and use it for firefox web and document editing on a large tv screen rather than my laptop. This "HD station" versus the "hd dock" are different enough to make it worth the extra bucks - namely having more USB ports on the back. I was able to plug in mice, keyboards, wireless audio transmitters and other nifty things. I like being able to access the mobile features on the TV as well as being able to see the full version of the firefox browser. I can send texts, answer calls, browse maps, and run any other application from the mobile view (a replica of your phone face) and then I'm able to multitask and do online activities. I really enjoy the simplicity of the docking station- plug your phone in, turn on your TV and it loads up rather quickly. They just released an update for the droid that made the webtop run smoother. Another nice use is while traveling. Leave the HDMI cord home, but with the extra USB slots, you can charge all your other devices without using 840 outlets. Works well when I'm on the go. Overall, a well designed product!

The HD station was shipped quickly and received on schedule. I bought this for my Razor Maxx, however the plastic adapter plate that fits the Razor Maxx was not in the box as stated in the in the description of "what's in the box". I called Motorola Warrenty and they sent the missing adapter plate, part number SJYN1024A to me at no charge. HD dock station works great with my Razor Maxx and very pleased with it's performance.

No HDMI cable in the box. The description in the title says "with HDMI cable" and the box I received says "cable not included" on the back... Anyone else see a problem here?

Regardless, HDMI cables are cheap and this dock is awesome. Basically like having an ultra portable, ultra light weight desktop computer. I bike to work so being able to carry this around with me instead of my bulky labtop is huge.

After receiving the wrong item twice( instead of the HD station I received bumpers for an iPhone 5 twice, I finally received the correct item. The station is amazing. It turn your RAZR in a desktop. as long as you have access to an hdmi monitor, a keyboard and a mouse, you can say goodbye to your bulky laptop. Amazon was on top of it and I had to order the item from another seller.

Before I switched over to Verizon and got the Razr, I had the Atrix on AT&T. I bought the original web top for that thing, and I used it for about a month until I realized that I just didn't have the patience for it anymore. There simply wasn't enough ram to run both android and the web top os, even though it was really just a browser. I felt rather cheated by Motorola, as I spent about $400 on the web top and didn't really feel like it added anything special to my life.
But hold on! Rooting and roms and development has been a hobby of mine since I first got interested in Android (I've run Linux on my laptops for as long as I can remember, and as Android is a Linux kernel based OS, I was immediately interested, and was at least partially familiar with the internals), and so I've always had rooted phones. I've been especially fortunate with the Razr, as it has an extremely active and vibrant development community, so I've always been "in the know" about the latest in ROMs and such, and it's a great thing.
So, when I heard that the official version of Ice Cream Sandwich had been leaked for the Razr AND it would have an improved version of web top, I was immediately interested. As soon as I could get my hands on it, I downloaded and flashed the official leak of ICS, and fell in love with my phone all over again (even though I've been running gnex based ROMs for several months, I actually find the Motorola version of 4.0 to be better than stock). Once I got over the initial shock of a legitimate upgrade to everyone's favorite version of Android, I started remembering what I read about the web top being improved. So I found my old web top laptop, flipped the usb and HDMI outputs around, and was good to go. And boy is it better.
