Beware, my experience is that there are two versions of this headset and they look EXACTLY the same. One sounds great for music, the other is absolutely horrible. The "OEM" version SYN1458A has unbelievably bad sound (maybe I got a bad unit but I don't think so). Even at full blast the volume was low and not in stereo. I purchased it as a backup to my existing S280 which I purchased at the my local electronics store and that one sounds great. The sound difference is like night and day. I have both to make a direct comparison so I know for sure there is a huge difference, even though they look exactly the same. I discovered a difference physically when you remove the foam cover and then the round rubber gasket surrounding the magnet. On the "terrible version" the perforated grille circle would fall off freely along with the rubber gasket (basically held on there by the gasket). On the great sounding version (SYN1458B) I noticed that the grille is permanently mounted to the speaker/magnet with a soldered metal band, and it certainly will NOT fall off once the rubber gasket is removed. Basically what I'm saying is to buy the S280/SYN1458B headset and NOT the OEM/SYN1458A or anything else if you care about sound quality!

I have modified my headset and custom fitted it to my ears with a moldable plastic product for a perfect seal. The stereo is outstanding with great low bass response and clean highs that can rival much more expensive units. Combined with the auto music mute/phone answer microphone button/auto music resume feature makes this product one of the best values out there! Who needs Bluetooth or an iPod?!

I have been using this headset consistently for almost 2 years now. It still works great and sounds awesome. When I am on my lunch break I always listen to music on my Razr2. I cannot emphasize enough how convenient it is to be able to listen music and still answer phone calls at the same time. If I am listening to music and get a call, the music automatically is muted and I am given the option to answer the call by pressing the square microphone/button on the headset. Once the call is complete, I press the same button to hang up and a couple seconds later my music automatically resumes, nice!

The other big deal about this headset is that it plugs DIRECTLY into the micro USB port on the phone. No hassling with adapters. Motorola did a great job on this headset. Unfortunately most people don't even know/care about this headset and opt for Bluetooth. Personally I think Bluetooth is so over-rated. Nothing beats the supreme quality of a hard-wire connection.

Custom fitting the earpieces should best be done by a professional. However I managed to make my own with a plastic product called Shapelock. This plastic is moldable when heated then turns to a hard plastic when cool. A custom fit and proper seal allow these headphones to really shine. What I would really like to do is experiment with soft rubber silicone like they use to make custom motorcycle ear plugs. I think that is the ultimate material. There are many custom earplug vendors at the International Motorcycle Shows every year and some day I may have them custom fit my Motorola earpieces for me. It will be expensive...but nice!

I was looking for a head phone for my new phone and i found this one. My first question was does it support Samsung Flight and it was clearly marked as YES. Well it is NOT.

They work fine with my V9. I had to mod the clip but was an easy fix. Sound quality is good.

I run in a secluded area and tired of carrying my phone and ipod. I thought for the money I would try this headset. I am very impressed with the quality of sound. I would recommend to anyone not wanting so spend much and still use the feature on the phone.

I bought this for my LF CF360 since they don't make a stereo wired headset for it yet. I'd hoped that since they use the same connector that it would work and it was cheap enough that I thought it was worth a shot. It didn't work. Nothing wrong with the product, never really used it seems alright although the square button thing is pretty ugly although at least less ugly in person than in picture (still ugly though).

Very comfortable and nicely designed with the mic/ connect button.

however, this doesn't work with DROID2 and probably any other Android phone. FYI...

I ordered the earbuds on saturday like the 16th and recieved them the 19th,I think the shipping time was good,within state Northern cali to southern california.The sound is cool (they are the actual real Headsets from Motorola)I have yet to make a call on them ,but the music is what i got them for...on my phone I had to turn the bass off..the clearity depends on the mp3 tone or level it transfered at,because some songs are louder than others(reason for turning off bass in my head set thru (Razr Zine)) they actually look expensive! at my local instore I saved $13 buying it here instead of T-mobile non namebrand. I have small ears ..so most times I dont like ear buds because they make my ear cartilage hurt. This pair is small come to think of it..So that in its self was a nice surprise!

i ordered 2 such items but none of them worked. my first response to this item was a 1 star. but the OEM shop refunded the money and so i had nothing to lose. in fact, they sent me an email to give me a free bluetooth headset as a way of saying "sorry". i am really impressed by their concerns regarding their reputation and am giving it a "3" because the items still were of no use for me.

I got this to see if I could hopefully use it with my Droid to hack it, but no such luck. Apparently there are USB hardware limitations for almost all, if not all, of the Android phones. I haven't found any rooted hacks either. HDMI out on newer androids seems to have similar limitations. So I can't even tell if the headphones work or not, really, and voted the average rating.

doesn't fit my razr phone. I think the wrong item was shipped but doesn't pay to return w/shipping cost. would haveliked a bettter pic. that shows the micro USB connection. it is NOT the way it appeared!
