Motorola T215 Bluetooth In-Car Speakerphone

This is the second unit which we bought for car #2 after being pleased with the first one in our other car.

Setup and installation was very easy. Sound quality has been excellent except for the "voice dialing feature". The built-in female voice responding with "SAY A COMMAND" is not very clear and cuts off in the middle of the last syllable so I sometimes hope it is dialing the right person. When I prompt with "CALL HOME", its response is "DID YOU SAY CALL HOm. . ." and trails off. [5/21/10-Editing my comment - just now discovered the female voice I described above is the lady inside my BlackBerry - So this problem may be with my phone, not the T215. Duhhh.]

The other minor issue is the visor clip - if your visor is thick, it tends to pop the wire out of the plastic groove in the surface of the unit holding the clip in. I will probably try to bend the wire without breaking it to relieve some of the pressure.

Until something better comes along, I expect to buy one of these for each of our family cars as it makes usage in the car much safer and is not as annoying or distracting as having a pretentious bluetooth thingy stuck in my ear.

This is easily the best bluetooth I've owned. It paired easily with my Samsung phone. The microphone is very good - no need to speak loudly for the other party to hear. The speakers are clear. I am going to order another one for my wife.

The Motorolla Speakerphone is great! The clarity of incoming calls is amazing. The outgoing calls may sound like you are talking in a tunnel at times. Still very pleased.

we thought our new Garmin would make this redundant -- not at all. the clarity of the sound on the Motorolla is so much better than the Garmin that we continue to depend on it. Highly recommended.

This product does what I wanted it to and at an awesome price! The pairing with my iPhone was a cinch. I have not had to charge it in over a month and it is plenty loud and clear for a tiny speaker. People can tell I'm on a speaker mic, but say that it is clear on their end also.

I have used other Bluetooth speaker phones before, this one is by far my favorite. The battery life on it is amazing, the clarity is great and others can hear me even while driven down the road. It even works great with the voice recognition on my phone.

I have a newer Android phone. I paired this with my phone's bluetooth. Paired but could not get the voice prompt to come up with more than a few beeps and would not make voice dial calls for me. Without that, it defeats the purpose of having one in the car. I even tried using WiFi to get it to work and nothing. Calls could come in. If I held the call button to dial the last number dial, that worked, but not a voice dial call. I need hands free to make a call. I need voice dial in my van with all of my children in there for safety. I should be able to reach up, push one button, be prompted and ask to call whoever and be connected. Didn't happen with this phone. Do not know if the thing was broken or if it was not compatible with my phone. Everything worked except for voice dial with rendered the thing useless for me. It's going back and will try something else. One thing to remember is that as much as they will tell you that a device is compatible with all phones, that are not always that way. I had this problem with another hands free as well last year. Annoying.

Our state is requiring hands-free devices effective Oct. 31, but neither my wife nor I were looking forward to headsets (I had one before, didn't like it). Saw this unit and bought one to try it out. WOW...it works GREAT. Told my dad about it and he ran to pick one up for his upcoming long car trip, I've now purchased a second one for our second car. Whole-heartedly recommended. Only nit to pick would be that it would be PERFECT if it would automatically sync-up with whichever phone was on in it's presence, but that's easily overcome. It is also sensitive enough that when told (in our driveway) to "Call Dad" it called my WIFE'S dad from her phone that was in the house sitting on the living room table.

The price is right and this is and great product easy to set up and use. Great CHristmas gift idea.

I really hate the little things that people stick in to their ears to talk on the phone. Who do I talk to that much? But when I am in the car, I like to talk on the phone, it is my time to catch up with friends that I can't speak to during the day. In NJ that is illegal and who needs the ticket? This device is just the ticket. It works hand in glove with my iphone, the sound quality is great, the battery lasts for 30 days between charges and the sync is seamless. For the price, how could you go wrong? I love mine.
