Nice Radio but not that powerfull,

We purchased these radios for 2 reasons:
1) We wanted 2 radios with 2 separate chargers and this is one of the few sets with 2 separate docking chargers. 2) We wanted radios that had the same channels as my son's (6 yrs old) small radio. So this met both of those needs. The only problems I've had so far is it doesn't have as far a range as it says. All these radios are rated with a range in an open field with no obstructions. In a normal suburb these radios will have a range of about 1 to 1.5 miles because of trees. It didn't matter for us because we mostly wanted to use them around the house, but if you expect to go camping with these don't expect to be able to get too far away from one another. The other problem is one of the chargers already blew out and I have to find out how to get it replaced. |
