This review is from: Motorola TalkAbout Belt Carrying Case for 200 & 250 Series (Electronics)
This carrying case should be included with Talkabout radios. It is a basic accessory -- and the name is misleading, because you can do more than use it to carry the radio on your belt. A wide rubberized elastic band on the back of the case is the attachment mechanism. It is secured at both ends to the case ... which means you have to be able to slip it over or on the item to which you are attaching the case. Of course, this means it absolutely will not fall off your belt, as belt "clips" often do! You will have to open your belt to don the case, though. The loop stretches far enough that we can slip it over a brake handle and right onto a bicycle's handlebar. Its best use seems to be on the belt of a fanny pack ... goes on well and stays secure. The small bungee attachment at the top clips into an indentation on the radio's case and keeps it safely in the case. This bungee is superior to snaps or Velcro, since it allows one to slip the radio out quickly for a battery change. ++++ Although I like this case, I would be even happier with one that is waterproof. The Talkabout Plus and 250 (the two models we've used) are somewhat water-resistant, but definitely not completely up to the task of riding in the rain. A protective carrying case with some of the features of this case would be a huge improvement.
