My "Go To" headset, September 8, 2010
This review is from: Motorola H715 Black Universal Bluetooth Handsfree Headset with Travel Charger and Car Charger (Electronics)
I cannot count the number of H715s that I have owned. This headset has a couple of flaws, but considering how much I use it, they seem minor.
The first issue is the ear-clip will, over time, soak-up skin oil and anything else that it can. This means that it will eventually become slippery and not hold the ear-piece where you want it to. Generally, soak the removable ear-clip will help clean-off enough of the residue to return a level of functionality. I have not found a way to complete remove all absorbed oil and residue and feel that some removed is better than none. Given this, we also need to consider the H715 ear-clip is the most robust ear-clip I have come across. It is designed to be used and heavily abused; unlike some other ear-clips I have encountered.
The second issue is the microphone. It is wonderfully placed on the flip-out boom and works very well. I have found the microphone will eventually stop working due to contamination by dirt, liquid (sweat), and anything else that can get past the tiny hole in the microphone cover and into the microphone area.
There is no ready way to clean the tiny microphone area and this means the headset will fail; it is a given. If the microphone were completely covered or if the microphone cover were able to be taken off and cleaned, the headset would last longer, maybe. As it is, I am fairly active and wear my H715s for six to eight hours a day.
The microphone also seems easily affected by wind. I have stood outside in a very light breeze more than once and have been told by the other party that I was cutting out. Moving to eliminate the breeze and staying outdoors removed the problem.
Also, It is good to avoid using the headset if you are doing something which makes you sweat as the ear-piece and microphone are not water-proof.
I have purchase several H715s as I know the lifespan of a new H715 in my use is roughly six months. I realize this may seem contradictory, but no headset is perfect. Yes, there are changes I would like to see for the H715 and those changes would make it a better headset, In my humble opinion. Each thing (Headset, cell phone, car, toaster) has some characteristic that could also be considered a flaw, but each "flaw" is a personal observation and not everyone will or should agree on the same "flaws".
Given this, I eagerly await a true noise canceling model that has a day talk-time and does not have the above issues. Until then, I will keep the H715 in my daily use.

Not the correct bluetooth, May 21, 2010
This review is from: Motorola H715 Black Universal Bluetooth Handsfree Headset with Travel Charger and Car Charger (Electronics)
This bluetooth is working well, however it is not the one I ordered it is the H710 rather than the H715(according to my husband). Just saying, but he is satisfied with its performance and he refuses to return anything, ever, so its his.

Serious issue, February 22, 2010
This review is from: Motorola H715 Black Universal Bluetooth Handsfree Headset with Travel Charger and Car Charger (Electronics)
I got this as a warranty replacement for a motorola H721 headset. But this has one serious issue. The headset occasionally loses connection with with the phone, making it impossible to continue conversation for a couple of minutes. Not something you would want to happen in the middle of an important call, especially if you are driving. This was the original reason I sent the H721 for repair. This the replacement had the same issue and had poorer voice quality to boot. At this point I am done with Motorola headsets and could not recommend it to anyone. I replaced it with a samsung wep870 and no problems now.
