Product Description

Amazon.com Product Description

Thin is definitely in. At just over a half-inch thick, the Motorola RAZR V3 is the perfect combination of sleek design and powerful features. With long-range Bluetooth, support for video playback, a VGA (640 x 480) camera and a gorgeous color screen, the RAZR V3 is everything you're looking for in a stylish mobile companion. The Motorola RAZR V3 is truly an impressive quad-band phone. And now it is available in gorgeous satin pink for those who want to kick up the style.

Design
The RAZR V3's design takes the standard clamshell form factor to the next level with an impressive, anodized aluminum construction. A large 176 x 220 color display with 262,000 colors dominates the inside of the top cover. The outside cover of the handset sports a supplementary 96 x 80 full-color display that can display pictures, time, call information, battery and signal strength, and more. The VGA camera lens is housed above this display. Up/down buttons are placed on the left side for volume control while a voice button on the right side of the unit allows you to enter voice memos and create voice dialing profiles. Most of the phone's features and on-screen menus are controlled by a five-way center button on the handset's backlit control pad, which is precision cut from a single sheet of nickel-plated copper alloy. A charging port and USB data cable port is placed on the bottom of the phone.

Calling Features
The RAZR V3's internal phone book can hold up to 1000 contacts, while the phone's picture ID system allows you to assign pictures to your most common callers. It also supports polyphonic ringtones as well as MP3 ringers, allowing you to use portions of your favorite songs to alert you to incoming calls. A number of ringtones come preloaded on the phone. There's even an included application, MotoMixer, that lets you mix your own ringtones. For times when you want to be discreet, there's a vibrating alert. A built-in speakerphone makes it easy to talk without having the phone to your ear while voice activated dialing makes calling your friends, family and associates as easy as saying their names.

Because the RAZR V3 is Bluetooth enabled, wireless headsets can be configured with the phone for total handsfree operation.

Messaging, Internet, and Tools
The RAZR V3 is a messaging and wireless Internet powerhouse. Support is built in for sending and receiving pictures, text, graphics, sound and video via messages. When used in combination with the phone's built-in still and video camera, MMS opens up a whole new world of messaging fun. Instant messaging is also supported via AOL Instant Messenger and the phone ships with a built-in email client with support for POP3, IMAP4 and SMTP protocols.

iTap text entry, which is a technology that makes it easier for people to enter words and text on handsets, is built into the unit-- a plus for mobile email and text messaging users. And with Internet service and a data plan (not included) and its Bluetooth or USB data capability, the phone can be used as a wireless modem for laptops and PDAs.

A number of handy software tools are bundled with the RAZR V3 including a voice memo recorder, a calculator with currency converter, a calendar and an alarm clock. Use the phone's Bluetooth capability to set up a wireless link with a Bluetooth accessory or connect to a computer or hand-held device to exchange and synchronize data. The phone also supports the SyncML PC synchronization standard, can be used with Motorola's Mobile Phone Tools PC application to manage and synchronize contacts, calendar and other data with your PC.

Imaging and Entertainment
With 5 MB of internal memory storage, the RAZR V3 shines in the entertainment department. The phone's VGA camera features a 4x zoom, image quality options, and an auto-timer so you can be in your pictures, too. Capture stills and then send them to your friends via MMS messaging or email, or to your PC via USB or Bluetooth. The phone is capable of MPEG4 video playback when you receive a video message, or if you upload video to the phone via USB or Bluetooth. The RAZR V3 also supports custom graphics for wallpapers so you can dress up the phone to suit your fancy.

Operating the RAZR Battery Door
The RAZR V3's battery cover is designed to have a very tight fit with the phone case. You may need to use your fingernail or a very thin instrument to depress the small battery cover release button. When replacing the cover, make sure the cover securely snaps into place before operating the phone.

Vital Statistics
The Motorola RAZR V3 weighs 3.35 ounces and measures 3.86 x 2.09 x .54 inches. Its lithium-ion battery is rated at up to 6.67 hours of digital talk time, and up to 250 hours of digital standby time. It runs on the 850/900/1800/1900 MHz GSM/GPRS frequencies. The phone comes with a one year limited warranty.

Product Description

The Moto Razr V3 is expertly crafted to deliver exceptional performance. Inside the ultra-thin design are advanced features like MPEG4 video playback, Bluetooth® wireless technology, a digital camera and more. And with the precision-cut keypad, minimalist styling and metal finish, the V3 looks just as beautiful as it performs. The real difference is in the details. See who’s calling, in color, without opening your phone — the large internal display is complemented by an impressive external display. The precision-cut metal keypad reacts to the lightest of touches. And the features you can't always see are equally impressive, like quad-band GSM — for global calls where GSM network coverage and roaming agreements are present.

4.0 out of 5 stars Candid & Impartial, November 4, 2006
This review is from: Motorola RAZR V3 Unlocked Phone with Camera, Video Player--International Version with No Warranty (Satin Pink) (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I purchased the Pink Satin Razr v3 back in August `06. I upgraded from a Nokia 3595 to this lovely little piece of technology. This was a careful buy as I read every possible kind of feedback on the Motorola Razr from many different sites. At best, the reviews were mixed from other users/critics. But for me, this phone is working out great. I'm going to touch on a few points (negative and positive) about this phone.

What Amazon doesn't add in their product information is that this was something manufactured overseas for use in Europe and China by the looks of it. What tells me this? The charger that was manufactured for non-american voltage as well as the advertisement slips and instruction booklets in the product's box that are in both english and chinese characters. I immediately went into panic mode when I saw the charger's plug but, noticed the little white US adapter which is nothing more then a piece you hook onto the prongs that have the correct voltage plug to fit into your outlet at home.

And what I haven't been able to note in any reviews for this phone is that if you're buying this unlocked like I did, the only compatible providers are T-Mobile and Cingular since they use SIM cards with the GSM network. I'm sure there are others internationally but, these are the only american providers I know of. As for the SIM card in your current phone, just slide it out and slip it into your new phone. Just make sure to copy your phonebook to your SIM card before doing so. You may have to tweak the network settings to make sure they are compatible and functioning correctly. Your mobile phone provider should appear on the screen once you've finished.

The cons with this phone:

-When porting your phonebook over from another phone, the Razr breaks down each number into an individual entry. So even though you may have had 3 phone numbers for your husband or Mom in one efficient entry, this phone's does not have that organizational feature. On the flip side of this, you can put the specific icon next to the entry in the phonebook like the little mobile phone, house, office, etc.

-It's easy to get the large screen and flat keypad greasy from the oils in your skin. I find that it's enough just to wipe it off with the corner of your shirt gently should it get cruddy.

-The flat keypad could be annoying for people with thick, large fingers. I personally have no trouble with this.

-No MP3 player. Or any other fancy bells and whistles for that matter. Honestly, I don't think this is bad since you can buy a nice MP3 player from Apple or one of the other manufacturers that have decent space for thousands of songs rather then what you are limited to with a cell phone. I'm not a big fan of "all in one" gadgets since it tends to degrade quality.

Pros:

-It's quite aesthetically pleasing and sleek, no matter what color you purchase.

-The camera. It's not a fantastic camera, so if you're a photographer by trade you will know it is awful by professional, digital standards. But if you're like me, you just use it to take impromptu silly snapshots of friends, things, pets, etc.

-Volume. Seriously, I do not know how people find issues with the audio. My hearing is rather questionable but, I can hear my callers unless their provider's coverage is less then great. Any calls made from a normal phone are also sharp and clearly audible. And the Ringing Volume is a lot louder then my Nokia ever was so I'm satisfied. You have to bear in mind that a provider's area of coverage (or lack there of) will effect your phone call and how well you can hear. It's not always the mobile phone. I think people make the mistake of where they put the receiver of this phone since it is very small. And if you don't have it in the right spot at your ear, you will hardly hear a word.

-Price. The unlocked models have become reasonably priced. So if you have wanted one of these, now is the time to buy one.

-Bluetooth Technology. End of story.

On a side note, I just purchased the H500 bluetooth head set in magenta since it seems close enough to the shade for me.

5.0 out of 5 stars THIS IS A AWESOME PHONE!!!!!, August 4, 2007
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Motorola RAZR V3 Unlocked Phone with Camera, Video Player--International Version with No Warranty (Satin Pink) (Wireless Phone Accessory)
Hello!
I got this Pink Razr cause i had a pink pebl and it had to go in for repair and Edge Wireless lost it. But, they found it at the last minute. But i did not want to take the chance of having it being broke again, so i got the razr. The phone is sooooooo cool!! Here are some of the Pros and Cons of this phone:
Pros:
1. The color is really cool.
2. The Grapics are great when you are playing games.
3. The picture quality is awesome.
4. No dropped calls.
5. You can hear perfectly on the phone.
6. It is nice and thin.
7. It fits in your pocket really nicely. You never know it is your pocket because it is so thin.
8. It is light weight.
9. I like that you can put pictures on the front of the phone.
10. I have unlimited texting, so i text alot. If you are a person who likes to texts, this is the phone for you because the keypad is nice, and you know how some phones are slow at texting? Well, not this phone. Thia phone keeps up with you no matter how fast you are going.
Cons:
1. The battery life. The battery life is good but sometimes the battery life does not even last a day. I do not talk on the phone alot. But i still love this phone.

I hope i was helping you pick out this phone. I am just a 12 year-old kid but i hope this helps. This phone is the best!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Sleek, July 29, 2007
This review is from: Motorola RAZR V3 Unlocked Phone with Camera, Video Player--International Version with No Warranty (Satin Pink) (Wireless Phone Accessory)
The phone is very nice, I love the number pad although it takes some getting used to, nice size area for the number. Clear voices, easy to use and slim to slip in a pocket or bag. I love the color......ps to those complaining about the color. Online colors aren't always correct, you need to research in person sometimes it's your PC's personal color scheme as well. Try it you'll like it.
