5.0 out of 5 stars Finally: It's on CD!, February 3, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Mouettes S'Battent (Audio CD)
Gwendal's albums were originally untitled. The company releasing them on CD decided to give each title the name of the first song on it. Anyway, the music on this particular Gwendal album is an outstanding example of Breton/French progressive folk from the 1970's. The most obvious comparison to make is to Alan Stivell's or Dan Ar Braz's, or possibly even Horslips' music from the same era, although Gwendal's music has a bit more of a jazz-funk groove to it than those guys ever achieved. All in all, an outstanding disk.
