That has solved the battery problem.

They will fix the camera if you send it to them but it takes 2 to 3 weeks and then you have a brand new camera repaired.

The quality of the photos are very good, even from a distance you can zoom in with clear detail.

Set this camera up to do surveillance in a area trash was being dumped. The camera took pictures that were clear in the day and at night with a 50' to 60' range. This camera really suprised me with the quality. Can't give review on battery life at this time.

The one feature that attracted me to the M-80BLX GameSpy camera was the ability to take video with sound for a reasonable price (under $200). This camera has not disappointed me. It is amazing to capture the wildlife in their natural habitat with the sounds of their movement and sounding environment. Because of the infrared feature, the animals are not aware of the video process. The camera, also, takes excellent IR photos at night and colored video (with sound) and colored photos during the day. The camera is very well built with a flexible menu of different ways of gathering video and picture information. However, the two features that attracted me most to the camera was the video with sound and the IR features for a very reasonable price. This camera is an excellent value for the price. My video example is one of many videos taken with this camera. I believe you will be impressed with this camera's video capabilities.

The camera was bought to monitor a remote part of our lot for intruders of the two and four leg sort. So far, feral cats are the only catch. It works very well day and night. We are especially impressed with the clarity of the night flash images.

Only problem was operating the mode selection function per the manual. Manual says to press Mode, then press again to get into the menu. That does not work.Pressing Mode the first time gets you into Time and date setting. Pressing it again just tells you what mode the camera is in. Hitting Enter takes a picture, so I got lots of shots of me staring at the thing trying to figure out if the software was messed up or not.

By accident, I got the menu to work by hitting the down arrow while in the time and date setting mode. This steps through all the menu items properly. That's it: hit Mode to get the Time and Date display, then hit the down arrow to step through as the manual describes things. Left most alone other than have the camera take three shots in sucession rather than one when it sensed movement.

If you do not want a bazillion images stored on the memory card, you do need to get into the menu to delete them. Turns out they cannot be deleted if you plug the card into a card reader on your laptop, have to do it from the camera menu.

Not cheap, but surprisingly good photos, and great night shots with good movement sensitivity and range.

I ordered two of these cameras. One works fine, the other had a bad camera slot per the Moultrie company.
I sent it back to the Amazon seller and it was replaced nicely. BUT the second camera also had a bad camera
slot. Moultrie admits this is a problem in some of their cameras. They will fix the camera if you send it to them but it takes 2 to 3 weeks and then you have a brand new camera repaired.

First off, I'm not totally convinced that the other infra red cameras that glow when taking pictures at night is a deterrent to the deer. The M80 is a great camera but I will stick with my M100. The M80 doesn't have a view screen as the M100 does. It also has a different size connector in the back when using the adjustable tree holder. I use them on several of my M100 cameras. I wrote Moultrie about this and asked why...I'm still waiting for an answer. For the money I'll stay with the M100.

I chose this camera based on reviews but after testing I'm not happy with it. Wish it had a sensitivity adjustment. On the first test the camera did not wake up from sleeping for a very long time (over 3 minutes). By timing a 20 foot approach, stepping 3 feet closer every 30 seconds with a different pose each time, the camera took a picture of my hand as I opened the camera. The next day I approached from the side less than 20 feet away and it took about 2 minutes to wake up. No better after several more test. It was near a Koi pond last night and a deer approached. It was on a 3 picture standard mode. The deer was standing and looking sideways on the first snap but on the second and third snap her ears and eyes focused on the camera. Obviously it could hear the camera. My son has a Light's Out camera that the deer did not hear or see. I like the camera size and it is easy to use but this is too important to ignore. I will return this for another camera.

I like the easy setup on Moultrie and this is my second Moultrie camera and this was a small upgrade from my older Camera - but I noticed a huge difference. My first Moultrie had a Red Flash for it's night photos, I noticed that some game will get spooked a little bit at night when it can see this RED flash and often starts avoiding camera area ....However, this newer Black Flash technology, DOES NOT SEEM TO SPOOK GAME AT ALL. Makes sense, that if they can't see a flash...it doesn't scare them. LOVE IT! Small upgrade maybe...but the improvement is HUGE!.

I have used many game camera but this one is the best yet. It take great day and night pics, the timer is sufficent, 3 brust mode is a must have when setting up on paws marks it will give you different angles of his rack, and is cheap on batteries. The new compact size is another big advantage and the mounting to a tree is another plus that Moultrie got their act together when most important was the black flash range is unbelivable and does not scare game. I would give this camera 10 stars and I can live with the price. I now own 2 and will probally own more of these in the future. What not to like, nothing, they both did exactly what they was suppose to, work. Very happy customer thanks, Amazon.
