4.0 out of 5 stars Great Album
Party of Helicopters are an amazing band. I'm not a big emo fan, but i still really enjoy their music. It's driven by powerful guitar riffs and very melodic vocals. I strongly urge anyone to buy this cd and it is pretty inexpensive so there is really no reason to not buy it. Keep a look out for these guys because they tour frequently, and they are working on a new...

3.0 out of 5 stars Whoever produced this needs to be punished
This is one of those incredibly frustrating albums: the songs and the band are great but the production is absolutely diabolical. Thin muddy, weak sounding rubbish that makes it really difficult to listen to. I'm no snob when it comes to this sort of thing but I honestly thought the first song was a joke it was so bad. To make things worse a few songs (clearly recorded at...

Thin muddy, weak sounding rubbish that makes it really difficult to listen to. I'm no snob when it comes to this sort of thing but I honestly thought the first song was a joke it was so bad. To make things worse a few songs (clearly recorded at different times) are better produced and give a glimpse of what could have been. For similar crimes against music try Shudder To Think's 'Ten Spot'. Great album, destroyed by producer. I really want to like this more than I do.

A Kid's Review

I recently saw these guys play a show in my town and they really rocked. This is probably their best album in my opinion. I would suggest this album to fans of Desperately Waiting or other guitar laden riff heavy rock.

4.0 out of 5 stars As good as any band touring out there, April 17, 2003
This review is from: Mount Forever (Audio CD)
It's always fun to "discover" a band. I saw a reference to this CD just a couple weeks ago and decided to take a chance on it. I'm glad I did. This band has a great hard sound, although it isn't so very different from a lot of bands. The plus is that the lyrics are quite different and the songs are long. The group really sets a great mood with each song and I've been so hot about this CD that I'm going to get their other two.
