EZ-fire shifters,

I have used these shifters new and used on my old 90s GT mountain bike as an upgrade and as original equipment on my new from the store Schwinn S25 full suspension bike. They are great shifters without paying a premium. I will be upgrading my kids bikes with these as well. They much prefer the trigger shifters over the twist grip shifters that come on most bikes. Highly recommend these shifters.

Great Replacement,

I picked up a well used 2004 Gary Fisher Tarpon from craigslist, to fix up for my son. It originally came equipped with Shimano EF29 shifters. But, the right side one was cracked and missing the gear indicator. These ST-EF50s are the "updated" model & make a great replacement. They come with EVERYTHING needed - except for the tools you'll need to install. The new shift cables are already installed into the shifters. Also included are new brake cables, cable housings & cable tip ends. After installation, all it took was some minor tweaking for all gears to shift properly. If you don't know how to...there are many great videos available via the Internet that can show you how to adjust shifter cables properly. I look at this way...if an old man like me can do it, you can too.

What a nice surprise to find a function brake/shifter combo that costs under 30 bucks, comes complete with all cables and housings, installs in a snap, shifts precisely, and brakes with power and control.
As a plus, these can be used with v-brakes, cantilevers, or calipers (in the cantilever position). Visually they are a bit big and plasticky, but, who cares. We are not talking about a sleek road bike setup. My other commuter bike has XTR dual control levers. They work fine too, just cost about six times more.

Works perfectly and was cheap. Not high end by any stretch but does what it needs to do at a very affordable price. The seller was AMAZING.
