5.0 out of 5 stars Best stroller we've used!, May 19, 2010
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:1.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Mountain Buggy Urban Jungle Stroller, Black Dot (Baby Product)
We've been using this stroller since our son was a newborn and it's amazing. It's multifunctionality shouldn't be overlooked:
1) If you buy the capsule clip, you can slot your capsule right in. Very handy if your baby is sleeping.
2) Use with the bassinet attachment
3) Use as is
The buggy is durable and rugged yet chic (if that makes sense!). We also had a phil&ted's but prefer the Mountain Buggy ten times over.

5.0 out of 5 stars love our buggy, January 16, 2012
This review is from: Mountain Buggy Urban Jungle Stroller, Black Dot (Baby Product)
bought this stroller three years ago. now that we have two children i am looking at the double. i LOVE my mountain buggy. we lived in down town chicago for the first two years we had this stroller. we could walk to everything we needed so we didn't even keep our car in the city so i used this stroller everyday for everything. i abused and misused it and it still held up great. for instance the roomy under storage combined with the shopping bag strap near the handle bar held groceries for a family of four at least once a week for two years i'm positive i surpassed the weight limit many times. when i wasn't carting around my shopping it very easily held all baby supplies and frequently family picnic lunches.

i liked the wobble suspension it's means going on rough terrain is much more comfortable for baby. also nice when they are fussy, you can jiggle the stroller a bit as you're walking to sooth them. after three years of almost daily use of at least two to three miles per day the wheels have started to wear but have not needed to replace yet. i just occasionally pump them up with small hand pump that comes with the stroller. i've used it jumping city curbs and jogging on paved and unpaved routes, although it's not an extreme all terrain stroller a well used woodland path is fine.

i didn't have a problem with it being too big as some people have said. it's a bigger stroller but i was never limited on where i could go even shopping in little boutiques or at crowded festivals. the only thing i didn't like to do by myself is try to get on the bus. you can't lift this safely by yourself with a baby in it.

style and function could not be beat by any other brand i saw. i was part of a mom's group so i got to compare with lots of other strollers. a bugaboo for instance is fine if you stay on smooth sidewalks or are in a mall not walking in a city. the bob is an athletic performance stroller but it's ugly! the "BOB" logo can be seen from every angle because it's on there like six times. my buggy is sleek and stylish and doesn't flash a brand which i like.

the recline feature is great it goes virtually flat so even a very young baby can use it and my daughter slept very well in it. easy to do i've even done it without stopping our walk. the brake is handy and reliable the safety strap is a must. just slips on your wrist. it folds up smoothly after practicing once or twice and is very easy to unfold. it fit easily in the trunk of a two door honda civic.

i got the plastic rain cover which i think is a must if you will use it in the cold. chicago gets very cold and i was worried about getting out to do errands with my baby girl but a snuggly stroller bag and the rain cover kept her cozy in any weather even a february blizzard.

my only complaint and it's something that the bob beats it on i hate to say, is that the sun shade should be bigger. i did have to use a blanket over the front certain times of day a bit of a pain. but i really do love this stroller lots of fond memories exploring chicago just me my daughter and our trusty mountain buggy.

p.s. added at a later date.

the front of the stroller got run over by a truck backing out in a parking lot (thankfully no baby in it) and it was TOTALLY FINE. it was five years old at this point. one plastic spoke on the wheel snapped but i didn't have to replace the wheel it rides smoothly. we bought a used double now that we have two kids and i gave our single to a friend who just had a baby. they LOVE it. they are using it heavily as well because they are fit outdoorsy people. more proof that this brand is worth the money.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Nice but a few Flaws, April 5, 2012
This review is from: Mountain Buggy Urban Jungle Stroller, Black Dot (Baby Product)
Overall, I am very pleased with this stroller. It is very well designed and I love the fact that it can be used from birth until about 4 years old. Because it reclines all the way flat, we were taking our newborn for walks around the block when he was just 2 weeks old. The shade is completely adjustable and does a great job blocking the sun.

For the few drawbacks, I must point out that the tires are very soft & the tread will wear away rather quickly. Our son is now 7 months old and we have completely worn away one of the tires so that the steel belting is showing through and is now flat - we will have to order a relacement. Another thing is that the shade doen't completely lay flush to the frame when in the up (normal) position - there have been a few times that my son has wedged his hand between the frame and the shade's support bar in a painful way. I would say that overall it is a very goog stroller, however, I wish 3.5 stars was an option - for the price I was expecting a near flawless product, which this is not.
