This guide is a detailed and technical review of CB and environs trails. Many suggested combinations of trails for raides of various lengths are described. Dry reading, but good for planning and use on ride day.

When I got my first copy of Holly's book on CB trails (circa 2002), I thought it was the best guidebook I had seen until that point. This edition is still a great guidebook, with all the info you need to enjoy CB. My only suggestion would be to add an elevation profile chart. That way if you want to combine loops, or eliminate some of the road ride approaches, you can determine how big the climbs will be. All in all, still a great guidebook.

This guide to mountain biking trails was very helpful to my husband and I on our recent trip to Crested Butte. We were able to select rides that were appropriate to our experience, based on the details provided. However, I really would appreciate elevation maps, as they really allow you to get a better overall picture of the ride!
