4.0 out of 5 stars Bernese Mountain Dog, December 30, 2007

A Bernese Mount Dog is the star of this snowy adventure that includes factual information on the breed. Jon's brother, Eric, is a skiing champion. Jon is only good at thinking up inventions and playing with his dog, Mogul. As the brothers go skiing together, Eric has a serious accident and must depend on his brother's quick mind and his strong dog for help.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Story of a Bernese Mountain Dog, February 13, 2011
This review is from: Mountain Dog Rescue: A Story of a Bernese Mountain Dog (Dog Tales, No. 3) (Paperback)
I learned a to love Berners (as they are called) just a little bit more while reading this book. So cute!

A bit about the storyline: Jon Ziller is a fourth grade inventor. He and his friend, Rosie, are always coming up with new ideas for inventions. (I won't spill the surprise about the kind of things they create though.) The most important thing is that the two of them are working hard on their entry for the school's "Invention Convention". However, there is a downside--Jon doesn't feel like he is as great as his older brother, Eric, who is into ski racing. The family always supports Eric by going to every race. Jon feels that he doesn't get the same kind of attention.

When Eric gets injured though, who is there to save the day? Well, Mogul, the family's pet Berner, of course... but who else?
