I bought this book for my dad, who loves the wilderness and hunting and fishing. Although not ordinarily interested in novels, Dad bought into this one right away because it was obvious the author had really "been there and done that." Josh's wilderness experiences brought vividly to mind some of Dad's own adventures from years back. He enjoyed accompanying Josh on this journey--both the physical one and the spiritual. Both treks are real--a struggle against the elements and a struggle for maturity. Dad recommends it to those wanting a journey and those wanting to relive one.
