About the Author

Pete Hill (MIC, FRGS) is an associate instructor with Scotland's National Mountain Training Centre, a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and Chairman of the Association of Mountaineering Instructors. Stuart Johnston (MIC), has been a full member of the Association of Mountaineering Instructors since 1992. Stuart's expertise embraces all aspects of mountaineering, including mountain rescue. He lives in Perth, Scotland. They have both climbed extensively throughout the UK, Europe, and the Himalayas.
