Does anyone know how to update driver for Mountain Lion. Epson seems to have stopped updating their software and recommends Apple's ICA

Yes, Epson's recommendation is correct. Double-clicking the scanner in the print & scan section of system preferences gives you Apple's rudimentary scanning capability. I highly recommend a third-party scanning program like VueScan.

Buy Mr. Hamricks Vuescan. I used it with the Epson Perfection 2450 and got amazing results. Vuescan has built in drivers to use the V700 with OSX.

Vuescan is fantastic and far more affordable than Silverfast which is outrageously priced. Mr Hamrick is great about support. He personally answers most questions in 24-48 hours via email. I would recommend the Pro version as it is much more flexible. I use Vuescan with my Coolscan 5000 and current Epson scanner.

I seen 10.3 on the epson us site and go to apple forum and request somebody will have one for you
