I was very anxious to get this software. I had been doing alot of shopping for wedding software. I choice the Printing Press Software for several reasons - their advertising and the thought that I can use my advanced computer skills to develop a professional stylish wedding invite. The software does not contain the fonts, the images, and the professional design as I was led to believe. I am very disappointed with this software and feel that Microsoft Publisher offers the same even more style of making cards/invitations. The invite design format in this software is poor - the fonts would be excellant for a baby shower or an infant or young childs birthday...the images are limited. Overall, the software was a waste of money

The program allows me to easily format invitations and envelopes, posters, programs, all sorts of things. The fonts are so beautiful and different, I always get compliments on them. The images and borders are easy to manipulate and alter to make them very unique. In addition, it is very easy to incorporate my own images and manipulate them effortlessly as well.

Anything you could possibly want to do, this software makes it easier. I highly recommend it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Why pay for custom invitations anymore?!, June 20, 2005

This is a great product! So far I have made bridal shower invitations, two sets of thank-you notes with personalized envelopes, place cards and menu cards. The interface is very straightforward and customizable. You can expand the included fonts and images to infinity by using others on your computer or the internet, so while the included "library" might be a little small, that is by no means a limitation!

I've received tons of compliments on my Printing Press work. I highly recommend if you have a little creative spark and are sick of struggling with word processing programs to make your invitations!

3.0 out of 5 stars Having problems with TECH support!!!!!!, February 6, 2007

I have the Printing Press Platinum, Fonts & Graphics 2, and the Scrapbooking programs.
I am having ALOT of problems finding some of hte features that are decribed and shown on the "project" page on the website.

YOu can't talk to a "real" person...only able to send in questions via email......I REALLY needed someone to walk me thru!

I would recommend the Fonts & Graphics Software...they are great!

4.0 out of 5 stars Just what I needed!, May 21, 2007
This review is from: Mountaincow PrintingPress Platinum (CD-ROM)
This software is excellent for every type of invitation you can think of. It provides the foundation for the new overlay invitations and makes layout changes at the tap of a button without losing the body of text. I do wish moving text was easier and the clip arts were more extensive and sharper images however, my overall impression with this software is "satisfaction".

2.0 out of 5 stars Nothing special, February 16, 2007
This review is from: Mountaincow PrintingPress Platinum (CD-ROM)
If you are looking for a printing program for kids' invitations, this is fine. However, if you want something that looks professional, you quickly run up against problems with Printing Press Platinum. The borders are very limited. It is not obvious how to print the invitations on non-standard sized paper.

In the end, I made my invitations in Photoshop and laid out the envelopes in Word with a mail merge for the addresses. I didn't use any of the work I had devoted to PrintingPress Platinum.

Cool printing program. Lots of ways to make invitations and more.
Would be easier to figure out if it came with an instruction manual.

Wow, I can print my own beautiful invitations so easily thanks to PrintingPress Platinum! It's easy to use, even for us novice computer phobes. So, far I've created rehearsal dinner invitations, birthday party invitation for a 3 year old and moving cards . . . and gotten huge compliments! It's a wonderful product.

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor customer support, March 17, 2005

This software has many problems, to many to list. The most difficult part is the lack of direct customer support, only through email, and the company is very slow to respond. The fonts and graphics are very childlike and do not look as professional as I would have liked. There are better products out there.
