Very relaxing contemplative music. Excellent way to unwind after a day of competing in the rat race we live in today. One of the best composers to come along in a very long time.

Music to listen to over and over. A lifting up of mountains, so light they can fly and I am on top. I was previously unfamiliar with Timothy Wenzel, but am a new fan. I bought this one because I like A Coalescence of Dreams so much. "Gently Falls the Rain" and "Flight of the Sandhill Cranes" are among my favorites.

I love New Age music and this CD does not disappoint at all. There are 12 tracks and each one takes the listener on a journey that comforts and soothes the soul. All the music is full of beautiful instruments including violin and cello. There is also some electronic sounds but all are very harmonious. There are no "minor" or dark notes in this CD. I have bought other New Age CDs that have had rather brash, dark tones in the music that made me irritable rather than bringing joy. This CD brings a smile to my face each time I listen. I put it on my car stereo and it helps me get through long traffic filled drives on the Beltway around Baltimore. This is easy listening at its best.

I did a little research before buying Tim Wenzel's 3 releases. I listened to the samples on Amazon and even a few You-Tube songs from "Mountains Take Wing" and I did like them. Unfortunately, those one or two songs I saw on You-Tube turned out to be the only good tracks after listening to them in their entirety after the CD's arrived. I am a musician and am usually open-minded, but I feel those three releases are sub-par.
Here are some descriptions:
Amateurish production and electronic drum tracks.
Lacking in dynamics and emotion.
Melodic phrasing was repetitive from song to song, counterintuitive and random within each song.
The synthesizer programming was annoying.
Odd and abrupt song endings.

I am a fervent New Age fan, but there titles didn't do it for me.

*To those who feel compelled to defend the "honor" of these titles by trying to pick apart my review,
save your breath...It's my honest opinion and I am unapologetic.
