It's great to use recycled products that are really made well.

I believe this bag will last at least longer than the previous one.

Based on the info provided, I bought the small size for my Lumix DMC-LX5, which measures 4.25w x 2.5h x 1 7/8d. It did not fit.
However, it does fit (just barely) in the medium size, which I also bought.

These are the actual interior dimensions:
    Small - 4 x 2.5 x 1.25
    Medium - 4.5 x 3 x 1.75

Note that Amazon lists sizing for Large but not Medium, but the Large size was not available for sale.

The product itself is well made and well padded. The tough exterior is made of recycled PET bottles.

Used the cyber II for the past 2 years with a canon sd850. The flaps on the back open up with velcro so you can easily attach the case to a backpack strap or belt. Whenever I bring my camera places, the convenience of having it right there (no fumbling around in a larger bag), means I take a lot more photos. Daily it stays attached to my Timbuk2 bag strap for quick draw photos when I'm out and about. During hikes or other outdoors excursions, it sits on top of my shoulder piggy backing on a shoulder strap. Great for what it is! No design defects thus far. My case shows wear, but nothing unexpected.

I bought this for my digicam and was so surprised with the strength and durability I added it to my backpacking gear list. I've used it for binoculars, a GPS and for my mp3 player. Well made, thoughtfully designed and usefull for much more than cameras.

Tip: Check the "interior" dimensions in the product description against any item you want to carry securely. They offer several sizes of this design and I recomend them all.

This is exactly what I was looking for! I have the Nikon coolpix S630. I got the SMALL size, I am able to get my fingers inside to grab the camera in or out quickly. The velcro is strong and can be attached to almost anything like your purse's handle, your belt, backpack and it has a long scrap so you can carry it on your shoulders or across your shoulders. I can fit a spare battery inside as well. This is good when you just need to bring just your camera and either an extra battery or an extra memory card inside. You can feel confident that it is also well padded if you should drop it or it gets knocked around briefly. Good quality product. I got the pinon green(compared to hunter green) and it is a good color for either male or female.

This camera case is great! I got the size small, which is just perfect for my Canon Powershot SX230, the new model. Its a little snug, but just about perfect! The color is beautiful, a kind of terra cotta, which goes well with the bright blue of the camera. Its also small enough that it will fit in my purse, so that's great too! Overall, quite pleased!

I used -- and appreciated -- the Lowepro Rezo 15 case for several years, but I finally realized that having bulky stuff on my hipbelt whilst backpacking reduced my flexibility too much. Bending over with even my fairly light backpack plus a stiff belt around my hips was bad enough. I saw other hikers with camera pouches up on the shoulder straps, and temporarily mounted my old case sideways, but I finally stumbled on this product.

The Mountainsmith Cyber II line all seem to use the same attachment design, which allows them to be *threaded* onto a horizontal strap, or *attached* to a vertical strap.

Let me elaborate the difference: the back of the case has opposing flaps that adhere to each other with a massive patch of hook-and-loop fasteners; another small piece of hook-and-loop tucks around from the outer flap to make this a very secure closure. Because those two flaps can fold over and close around a vertical strap, you do not need to be able to thread the strap through anything. However, in order to put this on a horizontal strap, you have to thread it through (fairly big) holes in those same flaps. Which might be difficult if there is something on the end of that strap (such as a really big buckle on some backpack hipbelts, for example) or might be impossible if you can't thread it at all (for example, if you want to put it on the "wrong side" of the hipbelt from something that is stitched on, such as where the hipbelt's padding is attached).

Obviously, a lot of the foregoing will be mostly of interest to backpackers or other with complex requirements for attaching these things.

Even though this was too small for my Canon Powershot SX20IS I can't bring myself to return it. It is so nicely constructed and such a cool looking bag, I keep hoping I will find something to carry in it.

Good solid product! I was looking to house my new golf GPS, a Callaway uPro golf GPS. The internal measurements for the case matched the size listed for the GPS, but you can never be sure. I am happy to report the uPro fits well, with a little room to spare. It even has an internal pocket for a spare battery if you have one.

I like the belt loop assembly. It's hard to explain, but it has multiple Velcro flaps that allow the case to be worn in upright, or horizontal position. I do not use it this way, but for a camera the case allows you to keep the zipper open and just use the top Velcro flap for quick and easy access. For storage you have the zipper under the top flap.

    Solid construction, great price. Nice!
