I use this bag as my primary storage/transport for my D3000. It's got some really killer features, especially the integrated rain shield. I originally purchased a Reflex II but it was too small for my D3000. This bag is sturdy, very very well made (as is the case with all MountainSmith products) and stylish too. I put a square of soft foam in the bottom of the bag to protect the camera a little more than stock, but that's probably just me overreacting. The shoulder strap has a good length and it's got a belt loop integrated. On each side are some webbing mounts for other items. The front has a zipper pocket that can extend through the bottom (it sounds strange and I don't know what it's for, but someone out there is overjoyed I guess). The top opens away from the body which makes it easy to get to the camera, and the flap has a pocket inside. In the pockets I keep a spare memory card and a spare battery. There isn't enough room for a DSLR with lens AND a spare lens, so keep that in mind. Personally, I just got a MS lens bag (LC4) and attached it to the side of this bag.

So, overall, it fits my D3000 perfectly, has tons of storage, and the rain shield saved my butt recently when a storm appeared out of nowhere. Recommended without reservations.

The item pictured has a plastic buckle type connector for the shoulder strap, however, the one received has a swivel connector. This is probably not important to most people but I intended to use a different strap and needed the connector to match the pictured one. Otherwise, high quality bag and I would recommend over other holsters that I've owned. Wish I didn't have to return it.
