I would also recommend his Marriage on the Rock bible study and looking up some of his videos on YouTube.

This was so helpful to my husband and I. It is very simple to follow along, asks tons of good questions and is in a very logical structure.

The Mountaintop of Marriage isn't a book - it's an adventure! The journal format guides you with questions to consider and discuss, but it doesn't "put words in your mouth," (i.e. tell you how you should think). The vision retreat, as is described in this book, will be an annual event for my spouse and me.

Thank you, Jimmy Evans, for the encouragement to take steps, albeit challenging steps, to reach for all the God has for our marriage and family.

EXCELLENT RESOURCE!!! We each had our own guidebook and used them over the last several days. We took vacation time went out of town and had time alone with God and each other. We wanted God's vision for our marriage and life over the next 12 months. We plan to do this once a year. Knowing that we agree with each other on God's purpose for us the next 12 months is refreshing and gives us both the energy we need to do what Christ Jesus has called us to do. Thank you to Jimmy and Karen Evans for a great resouce and the videos on youtube that go with this guidebook!!!

We just went away for our first marriage and family vision retreat and this book was our guide. It was a great list of thoughtful questions and recommendations to help us see where God is leading our family next. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to seek out God's vision for their family.

My husband and I used this as a guide to a weekend getaway. Although not everything was relevant to us, it still offered a nice starting point to aligning our vision.

It didn't live up to what I expected it to be. Wasn't all that I thought it would be, so you had to take bits and parts of the book and leave the rest!!!

I was blessed to see Jimmy at a Marriage conference at my church when I was engaged. Because of that my fiancé and I did his Marriage on the Rock bible study and as soon as we were married had our retreat and worked through the Mountaintop Marriage guidebook. I believe this is a great resource for any marriage, new or old. You plan a vision for your next year of marriage outlining your goals and plans throughout the year. It makes sense; we plan strategically for everything else in life why not our most important relationship! I would also recommend his Marriage on the Rock bible study and looking up some of his videos on YouTube. Go see him speak if you get the chance!
