This is my first pair of riding boots; I'd been taking lessons for some time wearing work boots. I didn't want to buy cheap rubber boots but was concerned about the cost of leather boots. These were definitely worth it. The zipper makes the boots much easier to put on/take off than my wife's boots - she wears straight pull on boots with pull hooks. The leather is decent quality. They are a bit loose around the ankle but fit snuggly around the calf, feel good when riding, and seem to wear well. From what I've seen they are reasonably priced for a rider who is not looking for show boots.
