Indispensable to someone in mourning.,
This review is from: Mourning After: How to Manage Grief Wisely (Paperback)
This book was given to me when my father died 9 years ago. It was written by a former pastor of mine and friend of our family, Dr. Stanley Cornils, who had a a heart for grieving people. He had an entire ministry to minister to those in grief.Dr. Cornils has gone on to be with his Savior, but he continues his compassionate work beyond the grave through this book. It's simple concepts don't overwhelm someone who is already mired down in grief. It is encouraging and realistic all at the same time. I've ordered and sent it as a gift I don't know how many times when someone has died in lieu of flowers, and it is always deeply appreciated. It gives direction to grief, and that is something that someone in mourning can always use.

I found this book after losing the love of my life after 50 years of marriage.Grief is intense and personal, and people do not all react the same. I read and reread this book and it was very helpful to me. The insight in the book is extremely helpful I would recommend it to anyone who has lost a loved one. I have bought this book for many others in the past 9 years and am now ordering more. |
