Haunting and beautiful prose,

Not a read for the faint-hearted. It took me quite a while to get through it, even though the individual 'chapters' are fairly short. Part poetry, part prose and part magical realism. If that sounds your thing dive in. Some of the writing hung fairly heavily around me after reading, particularly the prison writing. Other parts I drifted through not really 'getting' completely but the writing was so beautiful I didn't care. I will dip in and out of this book over the next few years I'm sure.
