5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful!, August 13, 2011
This review is from: Mouse Woman and the Vanished Princesses (Hardcover)
Stories of the Northwest was told to teach good behavior, repsect for the spirits, and love of nature. Mouse Woman, tiny but smart, was one of the many characters, along side the Raven and Otter Land People, to populate the tales. She protected folks, mostly the young adults, from their own stupid mistakes. For a price - mostly a ball of wool.
I would also suggest any of the other books in the Mouse Woman series - there is a total of three and one book that combines them all. I would also suggest The Raven Steals the Light by Bill Reid and Robert Bringhurts AND Shamans and Kushtakas: North Coast Tales of the Supernatural by Mary Giraudo Beck.
Enjoy!
