This book is a face-paced adventure utilizing the imagination to create a world where mice are friends and are more than simple mice. This is a combination of pirate adventure, a great treasure hunt and a constant battle of good versus evil. The pace of the book is quick, and never with a good stopping place. The characters are personable, understandable, and sometimes have surprising quirks. The story was a bit hard to get into for an adult who is not as imaginative as children but the descriptions and details (and the few pictures) help even those with limited imaginations picture the scenes and action. The novel is adventurous, humorous and entertaining throughout the book. Wonderful suggestion for 4th grade students up to 6th or 7th. As a teacher of 5th grade, I will be suggesting this book to my students when we do our fifth grade book reports on fiction and/or fantasy titles.

this book is soooo good its jus like the first one....definatly get it if you liked the first one its really good
