Overall I'm very pleased with it. I've banged it a few times against various materials like metal, wood, and glass and have yet to put a single mark on it. One word of warning though, the band is very easy to scratch and will crease permenantly where it's clasped within a few days of wear though it's only visable when the watch is removed.

I just bought the same time piece for $199.00 at Value City,a retail store. What's up with that??

After "borrowing" my husband's Movado watch whenever visiting, we decided to buy one for our son for his PhD graduation. Even at the busy Christmas season, it arrived ahead of schedule and in excellent shape. Our son was delighted with it. Now, when in town for weddings, dinners, etc when he wants a classic kind of watch, he has his own!

I've been very pleased with the Movado Museum watch. Its elegant and sophisicated with a face that works well for those with a smaller wrist. At first I thought, no second hand, no notches to indicate minutes, how will I be able to tell time? Surprisingly, it is quite easy to read. Now it won't do for a sailor trying to cross the starting line precisely 10 minutes away but for general telling of time it is quite easy.

I have owned my classic museum watch for about 22 years now. The watch overall has been great. I have not treated it as nicely as it deserves to be treated, yet the watch still proved durable even after wearing it to split wood with a wedge and sledgehammer. I had the watch reconditioned after about 15 years of constant wear by the manufacturer in NJ at a cost of about $200 (at that time a new one at [...] was selling for about $250, but mine had sentimental value) and I was not so pleased with their work that is why I did not give this beautiful and durable watch a full 5 stars.
All said and done I recommend this watch with confidence for many reasons first and foremost like all classic designs it is timeless and the build quality of the Museum watch is first rate Movado's are not overpriced like many other higher-end brands. I know that quality watches can go for thousands of dollars, that being said this watch is a solid performer at a reasonable price and represents a good value as well as a statement of elegance.

I have always been a Movado fan. This one leads the race. I just want to know the time because it gives me opportunity to see my magnificent watch.

Great looking watch, I wished it worked as well as it looks. Has broken down twice in the 3 yesrs since I bought it. At least it is correct twice a day.

I purchased this as part of an anniversary gift package for my husband of 25 years. He loved it and was very impressed with it. This watch is very classy. The band is not that long so if your guy has very big wrists do not get it.

Very elegant and good-looking dress watch. The absence of markings is not important since one does not need to know the time upto the exact minute on normal occasions. Otherwise, cell phones can be used to tell the exact time. With its black and golden color, it can be worn with virtually any outfit. Caution for those who follow current fashions of oversized dials - this dial is not very big.

My watch is the second one I bought from Amazon, it is beautiful and the price was great.
