Product Description
Vicki Bradford might work for the most ruthless sports agent in the business, but she's no quitter, even when she hits the lowest of career lows—acting as a glorified babysitter to NASCAR's disruptive newcomer, Brandon Burke. But his devilish grin and the gleam in his eye tell her he won't be so easy to tame.…

Brandon isn't about to let his wild ways on and off the track be tempered by a buttoned-up stunner hired to make him behave. And he's not above a little pulse-pounding game of seduction to send her running. But one kiss ignites something powerful between them. And now it's a matter of how to avoid the crash and burn of two opposites steering recklessly toward love.

About the Author
With over a million books in print, Pamela Britton likes to call herself the best known author nobody’s ever heard of. Of course, that’s begun to change thanks to a certain licensing agreement with that little racing organization known as NASCAR.  But before the glitz and glamour of NASCAR, Pamela wrote books that were frequently voted the best of the best by The Detroit Free Press, Barnes & Noble (two years in a row) and RT BOOKclub Magazine.

4.0 out of 5 stars You don't have to be a NASCAR fan to LOVE these books!, October 15, 2008
By C. Brigden (Minot, ND) - See all my reviews
I am not a NASCAR fan but I have found that I love this genre and this author. In this latest book it's the story of Vicki a sports agent and Brandon a hot headed race car driver. She finds Brandon very sexy which makes her job as his domineering sports agent more difficult. Brandon has never met women that he couldn't charm but Vicki puts up a good fight and tends to tell him what he needs to hear. This book like more so the genre is G-rated but is a fun read - which I always pick up.

I would also suggest; Dangerous Curves,In The Groove (Hqn Romance), On The Edge (Hqn Romance) (Hqn Romance), To The Limit (Nascar Library Collection) , Total Control (Harlequin Nascar Series).

5.0 out of 5 stars Another sweet NASCAR story, October 10, 2008
I enjoyed the story of Vicki and Brandon. I liked it so much better than the last book in the series. I look forward to reading more of Britton's NASCAR books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Opposites do attract . . ., February 24, 2009
They also repel. But sometimes, they bond. Against any and all other expectations, that's just what happens in this most unusual romance novel. Of course, there has to be a love story -- one that has a happy ending -- or the book can't be a romance novel. Plain and simple. But this one IS different.

Along with the NASCAR and the romance elements, it also deals realistically with an adult who cannot read. This is a serious social problem these days: one must be able to read in order to do almost any kind of work. Not having this skill can be tragic.

Brandon Burke is the 'bad boy' to end all 'bad boys'. Big-time. He is so over-the-top you just want to punch him out. Or else shake him until his gorgeous blonde hair falls off his head. Exhibiting unusual talent for racing from a very early age, his Dad steered him toward a career as driver, without allowing the boy a chance to pick up the off-track skills he'd need for just living. Brandon is intelligent, however (most dyslexics really are!) so he teaches himself a lot of the skills he needs, except that he really can't read in an impromptu setting. He stonewalls agents, owner, mechanics, reporters and other important people in order to keep his secret.

And then, Vicki VanCleef is assigned to him as a junior agent, in order to keep an eye on the bad boy, and try to keep him out of further trouble. She catches his attention right way, when she sneaks his racing bike away from him, in order to keep him from breaking his car racing contract. But that's just the beginning.

These two--from opposite sides of the track--and with totally different aims in life, strike monumental sparks off each other, nearly setting the surrounding areas on fire in the process. Over the course of one NASCAR season, they learn from and about the other, as well as the meaning of some of life's simpler pleasures. The very happy ending is a bit unexpected, but the getting there is well worthwhile. Hang in, and you should be happy that you did.
