5.0 out of 5 stars A refreshing twist on having a picnic
Denise and Vicky take the old, dead, picnic menu and give it life. This book has great ideas on how to update the meals for your picnic, providing menus for both the kids and the adults. The recipes are simple, unique and easy to follow. The menus include everything from drinks to desserts. 30 minutes of prep time and I was out the door. If I can do it anyone can...

1.0 out of 5 stars Poorly edited
I can't trust authors who can't spell (or who don't use editors), and who don't think of details. On just a few pages I found the following: "ect" instead of "etc."; "jar of ___" without any information on the size of the jar (and the ingredient comes in many sizes); "Ziplock" and "zip lock" -- no regard for trademarks or consistency. Yes, these are nitpicks, but they...

This is a must have for people who enjoy a picnic on a warm, sunny afternoon but hate the same old menu and long prep time it normally takes. This book focuses on delicious, quick prep meals, allowing more time at the park and less time in the kitchen. You may want to prepare a few extra goodies because once people see what you have on your picnic table, there might be some other guests joining you!!!

This book is a little small for the price, but I am very impressed with the quality, full color pictures and great recipes.

On just a few pages I found the following: "ect" instead of "etc."; "jar of ___" without any information on the size of the jar (and the ingredient comes in many sizes); "Ziplock" and "zip lock" -- no regard for trademarks or consistency. Yes, these are nitpicks, but they make me wonder if the authors are as cavalier in their ingredients and instructions as well: have they left things out, or mis-measured? Will my picnic be spoiled by more than ants and rain?
