From the Manufacturer

This exciting compilation includes James Bond 007: Nightfire; Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb; and Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds Saga.

The ultimate secret agent is back for another dangerous adventure in James Bond 007. Not only does he explore new heights and depths like never before--infiltrating towering skyscrapers, taking on treacherous underwater missions, and maneuvering a sleek Aston Martin V12 Vanquish through the streets of Tokyo, but he also turns on the Bond charm with glamorous (and sometimes deadly) Bond women. Experience the excitement with new state-of-the-art upgradable gadgets and weapons, plus original missions, including zero-gravity assignments.

The excitement continues with Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb. Join daring archeologist and adventurer Indiana Jones as he travels to 1935 China to prevent a powerful artifact from falling into evil hands. Indy's latest globe-spanning adventure takes you from the jungles of Ceylon and underwater palaces in Istanbul, to the deadly streets of Hong Kong and beyond. Racing against evil Nazis and the Asian underworld with alluring partner Mei Ying, you'll leap, swim, climb, and punch your way through exotic locales, fighting hand-to-hand combat from street brawls to martial arts battles. It will take more than just your trusty whip and pistol to avoid deadly traps and navigate through all the dangerous environments. Do you have what it takes to possess the mysterious Heart of the Dragon?

Then take off into space with Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds Saga, which combines the popular, real-time strategy game Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds and its dynamic Star Wars: Episode II mission expansion Clone Campaigns. Deploy vast armies of Storm Troopers, Clones, Naboo, Battle Droids, Rebels, Gungans, and Wookiees. 4.0 out of 5 stars Well worth the price of admission, February 19, 2004

This review is from: The Movie Collection: 007 Nightfire / Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb / Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds Saga (CD-ROM)
I bought this for the Star Wars game alone, which currently sells for the same price. I thought it wouldn't hurt to get the James Bond and Indiana Jones games thrown in. After playing Star Wars and Indiana Jones, I have to rate this an ABSOLUTE STEAL.

Star Wars is a solid game. Virtually identical to Age of Empires II, with a few new twists (flying units, shields) and great art. It uses the same tried and true engine. They did polish a few of the the subtle complaints of AOE II (e.g. automatic farm rebuilding), which is nice. Very fun and addicting game, maybe too much deja vu for some Age of Empires veterans though. Lots of replay value, you can make all sorts of random maps and scenarios, so you're not always playing the same game. Multiplayer is a blast. I love this game.

Indiana Jones turned out to be an entertaining game. It took me a little while to get used to third person viewing (I normally play first person). The graphics are good, and the game is sufficiently challenging. Trying to find the hidden bonus artifacts is a nice touch that adds a secondary purpose to the game. At times the controls are a little quirky, but overall a fun game to play one time through.

I haven't played the Bond game yet, so can't comment on it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome, November 9, 2003

I couldn't believe it when I saw it. # ecellent games for the price of one! Indiana Jones by itself is $40.00! This is a great deal. Nightfire is my favourite. It is very enjoyable and difficult at times. Indiana Jones and Star wars are great also. This isn't a rip off. Its not a demo. It is the full version of all three games packed into one great collection for only $19.99! Buy it if you love these games!

Nightfire was developed by Eurocom (quite possibly their best game) and ported to Windows by Gearbox. In my opinion Nightfire and the N64 Goldeneye are the only good James Bond games to date (although this port is missing the driving levels of the console original). It doesn't do anything that other first person shooters [FPS] haven't done before, (and sometimes done better). But it's solid, competent, and pretty fun while it lasts. It even has a few sections that can be played in different ways, although it's 99% just a plain vanilla FPS, and not remotely as ambitious as the Deus Ex games, System Shock, etc.

EDIT: Unfortunately I wrote that before playing the PC version of the game. The Gamecube version I had previously played is indeed a decent game. The PC version is one of the worst ports I've ever seen. Not only is it missing a huge percentage of the original's levels, what's here is extremely buggy-so much so that completing the game is difficult if not impossible. This port is just inexcusable. EA should be ashamed of themselves for publishing this.

Indiana Jones was developed by The Collective. Their previous game (the first Buffy game for the X-Box) had a deeper combat engine, far more interesting characters, and was more fun, but Indiana Jones is still a good game. It plays something like the Tomb Raider games, except with much better control, more modern graphics, and less frustrating gameplay. Towards the end of the game I started getting irritated by puzzles, but I still got quite a bit of enjoyment out of the game. I would recommend a game pad for this. I'm using my ancient Microsoft Sidewinder pad, and it works fine.

The Star Wars real time strategy [RTS] game, as other reviewers have mentioned, is basically Age of Empires 2 with Star Wars trappings. And that's not a bad thing at all, because the Age of [Empries/Mythology/Whatever] series is one of the most competent RTS series out there. MUCH better then earlier Star Wars or Star Trek RTS games.

EDIT: I ended up bored with the Star Wars RTS before finishing it. It's solid, but it lacks any kind of strong narrative to keep you playing. I basically felt like I was playing the same level over and over again, for all intents and purposes. I quit playing when I realized I'd rather play through Starcraft again. Not worth it considering how many other truly new and unique strategy titles are out there.

So basically there's one good game here, one that's decent, but not really worth playing, and one that's an embarrassingly awful port of a game that was only decent to begin with.
