This is the one you want!,
By JMF "Patriot Front.com" (Michigan USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Movie Edit Pro 14 [OLD VERSION] (CD-ROM)
This is a great product! I was able to make a complex video in just a few hours without reading the directions. (I have used only one other editing program before buying this). This is perfect for beginners, and after thumbing through the manual, I found there are lots of options for all kinds of advanced projects.

Makes a great video for the price,
This review is from: Movie Edit Pro 14 [OLD VERSION] (CD-ROM)
I've used this program to piece together video clips, photos and music and am very pleased with the end result. No distortion of the images, whether increased or decreased in size. I was using Nero, but my videos ended up with distortion. The transitions are a bit lacking, although there are plenty of them to choose from. Seem dated and not daring enough in what they do and how quickly they do it. But I don't use very many transitions, so it doesn't bother me all that much. I've encountered no tech problems running it on XP.

A downgrade,
This review is from: Movie Edit Pro 14 [OLD VERSION] (CD-ROM)
&I have Movie Edit Pro 2004 & compared to this version it is a downgrade.
When ever you import your video from a digital camcorder it does not capture the cuts accurately. The automatic cuts are not 100% accurate. You will have to do them yourself. Edit pro 2004 did not have these issues. In order to have accurate cuts, you must manually do them yourself & you are potentially adding hours of time to your project. If you don't, then your transitions look horrible. I have contacted their support they admit that there cuts are not 100% accurate. A quote from tech support "The automatic quotes are not 100% accurate. You will have to do them yourself if you need more accuracies" That is unacceptable, their previous software versions worked fine. Buyer Beware.
