5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent......
This is one of the most anticipated underground albums of the year. And it does not dissapoint. Great beats mixed with smoothly flowing rhymes. "Unlike Tower 1" and "Suicidal Failure" are stand out tracks on the album. This album has no tracks that you have to skip. If you want an album where the beats actually have some time put into them, and rhymes that actually have some meaning this album is for you. If you like raps about money and cars, go cop the Big Tymers album.

This review is from: Movies for the Blind (Audio CD)
Plain and simple...Cage is one of the best Underground rappers around.....And soon after Hell's Winter drops I think he will be accepted into mainstream......This CD is Cage at his craziest, the beats are hott, the rhymes are hot...BUY THIS CD....and if you like this CD buy some of his other CDs, Weatherproof, Night Hawks, Smut Peddler's : porn Again, The Leak Brothers: Water World, and Hell's Winter.

4.0 out of 5 stars Worth the wait Alex, August 30, 2002

Due to my own anticipation mainly I was a little disappointed at first with this but it grows on you after a few listens so stick with it. I know he accuses Eminem of ripping him off but to be fair some of it sounds like it came straight of the Marshall Mathers LP beat and tunes wise (i.e. A lot different from his earlier radiohead/shady sirens stuff). Still all in all a good album with great lyrics. Shame Necro did not have more of an input on the production side as Agent Orange stands out miles above the rest and it is worth the money just for that!

5.0 out of 5 stars They Live, May 13, 2004
This review is from: Movies for the Blind (Audio CD)
With lyrics that mention Freddy vs Jason, Max Payne and
songs that have samples from They Live.

Cage is the voice of a pissed of generation that loves
movies and videogames. Not the most complex lyrics, But they
convey what he is feeling. His anger is never misguided.
You never feel lost. He takes you into his mind.
And It is one hell of a trip.

This album is classic.

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than expected, August 8, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Movies for the Blind (Audio CD)
Somehow I had a feeling I would be disappointed buying this album but for the most part I was wrong. Lyrically, cage is on point from begining to end (that's not as common as one might think). He did a whole lot better job rhyming with his beats instead of trying to rhyme over them like El-P tried to do on Fantastic Damage and he's a little more entertaining than Slug was on Godlovesugly. Considering all of the great producers on this album, the beats could've been a little better, but none of them were bad. The joint the El-P produced ("Holding Jars 2") was hot and so was RjD2's joint. It's definitely something you could listen to often.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cage In a Class of His Own, May 25, 2003

Cage, a completely original and refreshing MC, brings forth the Masterpeice-"Movies for the Blind." Cage is proof, that there are other things to rap about other than gaudy jewlery, money, and "criss." Cage's style is unorthadox and brilliant at the same time. He is probably one of the most slept on MC's out today. He is personally one of my favorites. For those who dont like Cage- have no idea about where true rap is heading in the new age of ryhming.

5.0 out of 5 stars standard 4 any hiphop collection, April 13, 2004

This CD is sick! I dont care what anyone else says. Great beats to blast, lines that keep me gigglin, and exuding imaginations from the mind of an ill white boy. His rhymes will or will not offend you, depending on your sense of humor. He's got so much growing to do as an artist, granted, but he has that kind of personality and voice that will always capture your attention- always. A worthy investment, most def.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Movies for the Blind (Audio CD)
I pre ordered "Movies for the Blind" on Amazon.com in August 2002 and still to this day it's in my cd player I cannot do without. This cd stays with me always from Amsterdam to Alabama! This cd is one of my most favorite hip hop / rap albums simply for the fact it's so original sound wise, and rhyme wise. Movies will stand the test of time unlike many other hip hop albums released in 2002. I discovered Cage via record store employee when looking for something new and different in the hip hop genre. After picking up Smut Peddlers "Porn Again" I was an instant fan! So, if you like hip hop but want something maybe you haven't already seem a million times on MTV you should pick this up, it's one of those cds that is an instant classic and good from start to finish! The title "Movies for the Blind' speaks for itself!
