Much like the book Go the F**k to Sleep this one technically isn't for children but more for the fun of the fact that it exists. Also that this is the work of a Pixar artist in his spare time is funny also. If you want to see more of the illustrations included in this book just Google "Movies R Fun" and you'll see a lot more of the images of the movies that are included.

This is THE PERFECT GIFT for friends who are movie buffs.

Really enjoyed this book. Loved the artwork and the scenes they depicted from Drive to Jaws, to my personal favorite, The Big Lebowski. Take a look at the sample pages, what you see is what you get, and I think the book is a fun, well-done conversation piece,

This collection of interpretative renderings of famous movie scenes is done by a Pixar animator, and the Pixar style is apparent in every sketch. The drawings are interesting and at times beautiful. I'm a big fan of the Deliverance and Fight Club drawings; a pair of menacing mountain men or an unstable-looking Tyler Durden look great in Cooley's style.

I'm not sure who would really find this book appealing besides me though. The drawings and movies are too risqué to really be meant for kids, but it's not really meant for adults either. It's placed under "juvenile humor" so I guess that's who he's aiming at. In any case I loved the collection, but I'm a big Pixar fan and a movie enthusiast in general.

I love everything about this book! The illustrations, the movies chosen (I didn't recognize only two of the 40 in the book), the entire idea of the book is fantastic. And the fact that it's by a story supervisor at Pixar is a nice bonus. I'm gonna buy a few more for future gifts! Would make a great gift for a movie lover.

My favorites are: Fast Times at Ridgemont high, pulp fiction, the Godfather, Fargo, Exorcist, and pretty much all others that are violent or sex-driven that make this book what it is. Totally inappropriate for kids.

Since Hollywood loves sequels, it is only natural that Mr Cooley (even his name is awesome) release a Part 2. And then a Part 3 to complete the trilogy.

I was a bored stout suburban housewife until this book changed my life. Since buying five copies of MOVIES R FUN! I have lost twenty five pounds of unsightly flab simply from laughing so hard. My teeth are straighter, my complexion has cleared and my feet don't smell anymore. Not only am I the life of the party, but the pool boy pays me daily visits (and I don't even have a pool!). Buy this life changing book today!!!

This is the funniest, most clever book about classic cinema I have read in forever. It's also the book you will want to go broke buying for countless friends and family members who love movies. Terrific!

The illustrations are fantastic, and love the wall-papers behind them. It's a really fun homage to commercial movies and a cool guide for beginners in the genre film culture.

The only thing I didn't like is that I was able to see almost 90 percent of the book on the Internet. It's a good material to have at home, but maybe this guys shouldn't show so many illustrations online (great infomercial, by the way!). At the end I have the sensation that I got just three more drawings for my money.

I bought this book for myself and then I bought another copy for my cousin who has a 1 year old. There are a lot of 'adult' themed references to adult movies... like Pulp Fiction (say 'what again') or Alien (chest bursting) or Clockwork Orange... films that your kid shouldn't watch until they are 10 or 13.... so obviously they wouldn't get the references.

The book itself is a little small and I guess it would work as a coffee table book but it's not large enough.
