5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Comfort
I read this short book in about an hour. Great advice. Even being a pastor's wife, the spiritual reassurances were wonderful. Literally moving away from my hometown for the first time in my life (as well as my alma mater, where I've worked for over 15 years) has been an anguishing decision. The prospect of leaving older parents, lifetime friends, good co-workers and...

3.0 out of 5 stars short sweet spiritual
this is a short, sweet book on dealing with the anguish of moving - from an Episcopalian slant. If you don't like references to God, don't buy it. Does have links to good sites and bibliography of resources that is helpful.

I read this short book in about an hour. Great advice. Even being a pastor's wife, the spiritual reassurances were wonderful. Literally moving away from my hometown for the first time in my life (as well as my alma mater, where I've worked for over 15 years) has been an anguishing decision. The prospect of leaving older parents, lifetime friends, good co-workers and neighbors who are more like family is difficult, as is taking our toddler from her grandparents (their only grandchild!). But the advice to have a good cry and admit that it's a life-changing experience was good to read, even though you know it. Wonderful tips on adjusting the kids, the pets, and finding your way in a new environment. I recommend it!
