4.0 out of 5 stars Really Nice Bra
I must say although some of the reviews here speak ill of this bra I have no probs with it. First of all it's a sports bra, not a Victoria's Secret push-up....boob separation is not necessary, when it's supposed to be combating jiggle.

I should also mention that I ordered on cup size smaller: I'm a 34D and I ordered the 34C. I did this for extra compression...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good support but little to no boob separation
Read the title for my review - it says a lot. I'm short too, so have to adjust the straps up on every bra I ever get. With this one, you can adjust them up (has velcro which is nice), but it quickly gets to the point where the straps are too wide to fit thru the holes. So this bra stays in the drawer most of the time.

4.0 out of 5 stars Really Nice Bra, January 18, 2011

I must say although some of the reviews here speak ill of this bra I have no probs with it. First of all it's a sports bra, not a Victoria's Secret push-up....boob separation is not necessary, when it's supposed to be combating jiggle.

I should also mention that I ordered on cup size smaller: I'm a 34D and I ordered the 34C. I did this for extra compression because I hate the jiggle when doing cardio/running.
Pros:
-The bra band fits snug enough and does not bite.
-Even with a cup size down the bra is not tight. I can breathe properly without the feeling of suffocation
-Adjustable straps (these are a heaven sent). Adjusting too tight will cause the straps to dig into the shoulder.
-No underwire and the girls stay in place.
-Overall it's really comfortable. I jumped up and down like rabbit and had no problems at all
-Back closure...need I say more
-Wider strap placement. Let's face it, if you have big boobs racer back styles do not cut it where support is concerned. Because these straps are placed more like those on a regular bra they offer more support.

Con:
-There is still some amount of jiggle, not too much to be uncomfortable though.
-Doesn't wick sweat away easily..prepare to stay wet

The Fiona is similar but offers more compression and no jiggle /much less jiggle than with the Helena. I do recommend ordering a cup size smaller for more compression

4.0 out of 5 stars Amazing Support, October 25, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This sports bra is wonderful. It keeps the girls separate and front and center instead of squished to my chest like regular sports bras. The straps are so comfy and wide. And best of all--VERY little bounce! My only caveat is the lack of support on the sides. Flesh in that area is a bit more obvious. Wouldn't be on someone smaller than a size 16, I'm sure. And, it's not enough to make me regret the purchase by any means. It really is very comfortable, doesn't restrict anywhere.

3.0 out of 5 stars better than most..., February 3, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I like this sports bra due to its comfort and adaptability to specific body types. The adjustable back and straps ensure a customized fit-- the concept is stellar. I only wish the material was somewhat thicker. It is very thin in the front, which makes me a bit self concious. When at the gym I would most definetly prefer that my anatomy was not visible to the gorilla juice heads lol...Also it squishes my boobs downs so I have a flat uniboob. Sigh...Still in search of the perfect sports bra....It is however better than most, especially for the price I paid.

4.0 out of 5 stars Decent bra, April 28, 2011
This review is from: Moving Comfort Women's Helena Bra (Apparel)
I was skeptical about buying a wire-free sports bra again because, in the past, they didn't work at all and I always had to wear another bra underneath it. This bra is very comfortable, no bite whatsoever but I still have to wear another bra underneath it unless I want uni-boob galore. I am a 36 DD/DDD and the 36 DD that I ordered fits just fine, especially on the sides which is rare for a sports bra. Anyway, I recommend this product but for most of the big-busted women out there, if you want them separated you'll have to wear a different bra underneath. What a pain!

2.0 out of 5 stars perhaps I need higher shoulders, April 15, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Moving Comfort Women's Helena Bra (Apparel)
I have some 34D Fiona models over two years old that are obviously great quality, but desperately need to retire. Thinking I would improve on a good thing, I ordered the Helena. Unfortunately for more money I got a worse fit. Although fit is unique to each, I cannot recommend this bra based on craftsmanship, either. The nylon material of the Helena is both slicker and thinner, but less breathable so sweat and air do not pass. The support was excellent, but for those of us interested in high-impact, not quite as good as the best maximum motion control bras. The M-frame itself was unnecessarily stiff (support should come from the band), and bent in the awkward places... it only slightly hindered encapsulation but greatly annoyed me. The stretch in the cloth was comfortable, a little lax but nothing troublesome, and in fact I would probably even still have kept the bra had the underarm bite not been intolerable. Generally I do not have problems in that area. It irritated my armpit and underarm in just a few minutes for hours later, and I did not even exercise once in it. Since I have no use for clothing I cannot wear, I will be ordering more of the Fiona, and have already returned the Helena.

1.0 out of 5 stars uncomfortable, odd shaping, August 16, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I am a Moving Comfort diehard, but this bra does not epitomize "moving comfort" It binds and pinches in odd locations, and doesn't have much "give" at all. The material is designed to be more stretchy where the girls sit, and very little stretch in other areas, but the effect is just to make the whole thing uncomfortable. It also rode up in the back and was difficult to reposition.

For comfort and support for medium impact I recommend the MC Calli bra.
For comfort and support for high impact activities I recommend the MC Maia or Fiona bras.

Stay away from the Helena.

4.0 out of 5 stars LOVE this bra..., August 4, 2011
This review is from: Moving Comfort Women's Helena Bra (Apparel)
I LOVE LOVE this bra for high impact activities. I don't feel smashed (or smashed together) but nothing moves. I'm a 34D and I bought this off the rack at a little tri shop without even trying it on - it fit true to size, is moisture wicking, and quick drying; getting the right size in this bra is essential as it is fairly structured. The only thing that keeps me from giving it that 5th star is because I have experienced some chafing with the band on my long runs - I had Ring Around the Ribs after my half marathon, ouch! Otherwise for anything under 5-6 miles, I've not had an issue and like it better than my Fiona (also a good, solid bra but not as structured). MC - if you can do something about the band chafing, I will sing praises from the rooftops!

I had searched all the stores for a sports bra but couldn't find any suitable one until I search and found this one. It's exactly what I need and I feel it is worth every cent it costs!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great bra, but not for nursing, October 24, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought this bra hoping it would work as a nursing sports bra. According to the Moving Comfort rep, many nursing moms use it. The bra fit great. It was very comfortable and supportive when I tried it on. I would have loved to use it for exercising, but it did not work as a nursing bra for me. To open the front for nursing, you have to disconnect the velcro on the shoulder strap and pull the strap out of the front loop. That's easy. The tricky part is rethreading the strap into the loop and reconnecting the velcro. I could barely do it with two hands looking in the mirror. There's no way I'd be able to do it one-handed with a squirming baby on my lap.
