3.0 out of 5 stars A North Country wife struggles to make her marriage work., October 6, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Moving to the Country (Hardcover)
This first novel by the author of the current memoir "Under a Wing" is an exceptionally thoughtful study of a young woman who moves to the North Country with her husband, and struggles to make a success both of life in that region and her marriage with him. It has rich details of country life. It is also a fine portrait of how even two well-meaning people can face an uphill battle. Written in the same intelligent, precise style as "Under a Wing." Deserves to be back in print.
