Book Description

January 21, 2008
Oh no, not another self-help book! But wait, USC alumnus and celebrity life coach Paul Edward dubs his new work, Moving Forward: Turning Good Intentions Into Great Results by Discovering Yourself, Your Place, & Your Path, an “others-help” book and insists that one of the keys to moving forward in life is connecting with the right people. In the first volume of his new Life-Changing Coaching Series, Edward shares the five strategies he uses to help his influential clients solve problems, make better decisions, achieve goals, and get connected. Drawing on his rich experiences as a US Marine Corps officer, corporate executive, and professional life coach, Edward’s book leads the reader on a journey that begins with self-discovery and culminates in the development and implementation of a plan for real change and sustained growth.Moving Forward does not just offer theory, but it tackles some of life’s thornier practical issues, like how to successfully deal with challenging friends and family members, how to increase job satisfaction, and how to make more time for the people and activities you love. Moving Forward is a guide for those who find themselves stuck in one or more areas of their lives. Its pages brim with help and hope for anyone willing to follow the roadmap that Edward lays out for them.

So very helpful... February 25, 2008
By M. Cope
Format:Hardcover
I cannot tell you how refreshing a perspective this author takes. Neither beating you over the head with your own weaknesses nor letting you off the hook for not taking care of personal responsibilities, this is the book for you if you want an objective approach to improving your life. As someone that has gone through numerous corporate and privately sponsored events on self-improvement, I can safely say "ditch the rest" and read this book first.

Paul Edward--professional life coach to celebrities, dignitaries, and executives--shares with you the same five strategies that he uses with his clients to help them solve problems, make better decisions, achieve goals, and get connected.

Now you can use the same techniques that Hollywood stars, professional athletes, and Fortune 500 executives use--to break free of destructive habits, improve your relationships, and discover, maybe for this first time, who you are, what you should be doing with your life, and where you fit into your community and world.

The strategies offered in Moving Forward really work. In his more than 20-year coaching career, Paul has helped hundreds of clients and students learn the skills they need to discover their unique talents and abilities, get connected to the right people, and start living the lives they have always dreamed of. As a National Certified Counselor, I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to move from simply dreaming about the life he or she wants to actually creating it. It can be overwhelming to know where to begin in pursuing the life you want; this book offers a clear, step-by-step plan for doing so. One thing that makes this book particularly different and special from other books out there on similar subjects is its guidance on the importance of bringing others into your life. The book thus describes itself as an "others-help" book rather than a self-help book because you will not be making this journey alone--you will be bringing other people into your life for support, guidance, inspiration, and more. If you want to move from dreaming about your ideal life to actually living it, this book has the power to change your life.
