Amie had what it took to be a famous singer, but she died in a car wreck at 21 or so. This was her debut album, done when only 18 but the voice is definitely there. A gentle Southern accent with power behind it. Some songs:

Movin Out - light-hearted number. Singer and girlfriend are getting a place together

Takin it Back - faster tune, singer warns beau to shape up

One Step Ahead of You - excellent uptempo song, will get you moving. The singer will not fall into a guy's traps anymore, she's wise to him

I Heard it From the Heart - assertive uptempo song

Written in the Stars - a guy rides the rodeo circuit. But it's destiny he will be united with small-town waitress

My Mom recieved a copy of this album from a family member of Amy's when I was about 12, I listened to that cassette tape so much in the last 14yrs that it will not play anymore. I am buying a new one and can't wait to sing along with Amy once again!
She had what it takes to make it, her life touched so many hearts and continues to years after her passing.

I received this item very promptly. However, the item pictured is the full cd, which is what I believed I ordered. What I received was a demo which had only one song on it. The pic on the front of the cd is different than the one shown, too. I didn't pay very much, and the demo is kind of cool, but it is not the full album, which is what I thought I was purchasing.

it saddens me of her death in the prime of her career

This is a very good country album. The best song for me is "Written In The Stars" a very good story song and I love it. Please try and hear this album.
