This review is from: Moving Is Relating : Developing Interpersonal Skills Through Movement (Young Actor Series) (Paperback)
This book, as do other books by Helen Landalf, fits into the curriculum and allows ANY teacher to use movement in a productive and postitive way. I am working in an urban school extended day program and there are children of all abilities (social, cognitive, linguistic etc.) This book assists us in reaching each and every student, giving them a sense of success. Ms. Landolf is able to distill in very complete and compact lessons ways to use movement giving children more self reliance. I find movement not only motivates students, but subsequently gives children the tools to expressively calm and control their own bodies. It is truly a miraculous approach. |
