I had mixed feelings about this item, Read some reviews and watched a video, I decided to purchase this Mow-Aerator because my property is slopy and the drive tire would slip/slide somtimes, After installing this product i was able to cut the grass with ease and no more sliding down the hills, I had tryed tire chains but they didnt work nearly as well as this Mow-Aerator worked, Also i did notice a differnce in my lawn after using the product, My lawn looked healthier, Works good with semi soft soil,Not good for hard packed soil or rocky soil as the spikes bend, The product isnt a real heavy duty and over time the spikes will bend from use, Overall the product is ok, I would say for limited use the product would do fine, I purchased another set of wheels and tires and mounted the Mow-Aerator to them, When my lawn is damp i will switch to the Mow-Aerators, then when the grass is dry i can usally get the job done with the std tires and wheels.

If you have wet slippery slopes, these provide adequate cleat traction. However, I have not been able to obtain any aeration benefit. The depth is too shallow, and the spikes appear to only scratch the surface. Also, because of deck interference, I can only use the spikes on one wheel. Finally, the nylon-lock nuts back off the bolts during usage and vibration. Once this happens, the spikes bend off the wheel and small hardware pieces become lost in the lawn.

This item will only fit in the left wheel of a Craftsman 1000 riding mower. The deck is too close to the tire on the right side for the spikes. Mow-Aerator MA2008 Riding Lawn Mower Aerator Tire Spikes - 2 Pack SetCould not find, on the web site, which mowers this product works with.

The product arrived on time and in good condition although a locknut was floating around the shipping container. Installation was not exactly as easy as the "1-2-3" pictured on the box nor as simple as directions indicated. However, I guess the tire size didn't consider the wide "turfsaver" type of tires I have on my Murray. After a lot of struggling and a bit of "discouraging words", deflating the tires quite a bit, and a purchase of longer threadsock (and nuts)for starters (and replacing the 4" bolts with 6" bolts) I managed to get the two attached to my 10X20 wheels. There is a good 4-6" wider gap where ends meet that makes for a little bounce when that section rotates to the lawn. I also expected the spikes to be conical instead of flat metal but they do make holes in the dirt which is far better for moisture and nutrient penetration than nothing. How well they will hold up only time will tell. However, an added bonus is the spikes give better traction on the steeply sloping lawn I'm cursed with.

Not sure I would recommend these without a lot of cautionary comments but I do believe thy will suit my needs for areation and traction on the sloping lawn.

I bought the tire aerators for my Kubota tractor. I had to get the extenders. Even though the aerator attachments were supposed to open up wide enough, they barely fit my tires. Even though I measured the clearance between the tire and the fender, I found the spikes did not fit tight, so the spikes would rub the fender if not absolutely and tighly pushed on. It takes 45 minutes+ to install the aerators and 15 minutes to remove. The spikes make "slits" in the grass and does not aerate well regardless how much I drive on the grass. My simple pull behind aerator using blocks does a better job and quicker. The tire spikes were not a good investment for me.

I BOUGHT THIS ITEM TO USE WITH MY LAWN TRACTOR BUT I'VE NEVER USED IT BECAUSE THEY DID NOT FIT INMY TRACTOR WHEELS

You absolutely have to read the warnings about measuring around your tires to make sure the spikes will work for you. I see a lot people making sure it fits their tire size and that's it. The warnings are there. You MUST make sure you have clearance all the way around your tires and don't forget the sides. I missed that one. The brackets didn't clear on the side of the tire which was my fault. Luckily I found the spikes fit my snowmobile trailer tires which happened to fit the rear of my old Polaris 4 wheeler. A quick tire change and I was off aerating. I have about a 2 acre lawn with hard, compacted soil. I waited until we got a good soaker rain and then aerated when the soil was nice and soft. I then went and did another relative's lawn which is quite large. Aerator spikes worked very well. Every once in a while I stopped to pull a stone out of the spikes that it picked up but that was it. Very happy with it. The lawn does look better and seed has taken in spots it really struggled to before.

This product is horrible. It come out of the box and is difficult to use. It isn't as simple as the product description seems. Be prepared for an hour of set up. Just getting all the spikes headed the same direction is a chore in and of itself....If I could return this item I would.

I just thank the lord I'm alive. Being a disabled veteran this solution to the expensive tow behind and fumbling weights is greatest thing sense the M1 Abrams. I just layout the mow aerator behind my tires back my tractor on hook up and go. It's that easy. And you WILL notice a difference in your lawn in a short time. GOD BLESS AMERICA.

WE WERE EXCITED WHEN WE FIRST HEARD ABOUT THE LAWN AREATORS. IN GOOD FAITH WE ORDERED A SET BECAUSE THEY STATED THEY WOULD FIT OUR SIZE OF TIRE. THEY DID NOT FIT THE SIZE TIRE WITHOUT MUCH STRUGGLE AND SQUEEZING THE AIR OUT OF THE TIRE. ONCE THEY WERE INSTALLED WE STARTED TO ROLL FORWARD FIRST TO INSPECT OPERATION. WE DISCOVERED THAT THE SPIKES WOULD LITERALLY CUT AND TEAR OUT OUR FUEL LINES AS WELL AS CUT INTO THE ACTUAL FUEL TANK.
THE PRODUCT QUALITY WAS THERE. THEY WERE WELL BUILT AND LOOKED AS IF THEY WOULD LAST A LIFE TIME.
I WAS DISAPOINTED THAT OUR SHIPPING FEE WAS NOT RETURNED. WE HAD TO PAY SHIPPING THE PRODUCT TO US AS WELL AS HAVING TO SHIP THEM BACK AND NO FEE WOULD BE REFUNDED. THE SHIPPING FEE WAS ONE HALF THE COST OF THE ITEM ORDERD AFTER RETURNING THE PRODUCT. THE BUSINESS OWNER GAVE ME NO PROBLEMS WHEN I TOLD HER WHY WE HAD TO RETURN THEM. SHE DID NOT HESITATE.
