My eight year-old daughter asked for Moxie Girlz dolls. After much evaluation, I bought her Avery and Sophina. What I like about Moxie Girlz is that they are a great cross between Barbie and Bratz. You get the fun, trendy look without the sleaziness of Bratz, and the wholesomeness of Barbie. My daughter loves the trendy clothes and the accessories, and of course, the cool hair. The price isn't bad, either. The only thing that I am a bit disappointed about is that there don't seem to be any outfits you can purchase separately that I can find. Maybe if they catch on the manufacturer will decide to expand the line to include that, but for now, she really likes the dolls.

5.0 out of 5 stars Moxie - the newest thing, August 18, 2009

These Moxie G irlz are just like the Bratz style-wise, but they're more of what the parents would "want" their kids playing with. They give away the message "You don't have to be who we are, be yourself." So buy this doll? Yes. You/your son or daughter will have fun with it and it will teach them just to be themselves. :)

By the way, Bratz fans:

Like me, you all have probably heard by now the suing of Mattel vs. MGA and Mattel winning. I'll miss the Bratz too :( but these g irls are almost just like them. Examples: Kissy lips, eyes similar shapes, similar styles, "magic hair" dolls, and a brown-skinned black hair g irl named Sasha. :D So, yes, you should buy them too.

I bought this for my 8 yr. old grandaughter and she loved it from the start. It is a wonderful doll for her. Now her other sisters want one also.

As a Bratz fan, I like these dolls. The faces are pretty. I like that the clothes are conservative, but would like to see them improve with time, I got this for the doll but not the outfit.

Maybe I'll have to learn how to sew ;)
