A great recording of chamber music,
This review is from: Mozart: Chamber Music (Audio CD)
This CD is a great recording of some of Mozart's chamber music. The Kodaly Quartet, Jozsef Kiss, and Jeno Kevehazi play beautifully and all of the pieces are nice listening material. My favorite work is the Quartet in F Major (K. 370), which is more than enough to justify the purchase of the CD. The second movement adagio is very soothing and the first and third movement allegros were great. The Quintet in E Flat Major (K. 407) was also well done, as well as Ein musikalischer Spass (A Musical Joke, K. 522), which I had been looking forward to hearing for quite some time. I was not disappointed with this rendition. The sound quality and engineering are good and the liner notes are interesting to read. Naxos has once again produced a great recording for a bargain price...recommended for listeners of Mozart.

This is one of thoses compileations you can only dream about. Very well engineered, and you can actually sit through the whole cd without having to skip a dull or underrated track. Every thing fits, & flows without changing the mood. If your just now getting into the confusing world of classical , as I am, Mozart is a good place to start. It helps create a patience , until you have a chance land another well compiled cd.
