This is the Exultate Jubilate that Mozart would buy. Judith Blegen's brilliant supple coloratura and dazzling technique in combination with her rare gift for stile galante phrasing makes this a CD you will listen to over and over and over. The disc has a wealth of artfully performed ensemble couplings with Pinchas Zukerman and also with trumpeter/conductor Girard Schwarz that will leave listeners breathless. Wait until you hear her Scarlatti. Wow!Own it and be absolutely thrilled by Blegen's Mozart, Scarlatti and Handel.
