Great cast!, October 31, 2006

I love this version. Maybe because I'm a little biased, seeing as I practically spent 4 months straight listening to it. Carol Vaness (Countess) has the most awesome soprano voice- it'll just make you melt! She makes most sopranos (including the more famous Kiri Te Kanawa) sound clunky and uncontrolled. I love Susanne Mentzer (Cherubino), but I may be biased on her too, because I met her once, and she has this awesome, down to earth personality... Okay. Deep breath. Enthusiasm getting in the way of writing an effective review...
And how come it's now only 10 bucks?? I bought it back in '96 for $17.00!
