I am an elementary school teacher and have played this CD in the background in my classroom for several years. I can't say that it has made my students smarter in math, English, or science, but it has made them smarter in music. And who knows...maybe it does stimulate the development of a certain area of the brain in young children that doesn't get stimulated by other forms of learning. It certainly hasn't made them dumber. The one positive thing I have noted about the affect of this music: my students are much calmer, more relaxed, and much more cooperative when it is playing.

I entered college a few years ago at the age of 42 as a student of anatomy and kinesiology.I needed all the help I could get! I dearly love classical music - Mozart being my favorite. This beautiful music, which I listened to many times while studying, may have really helped. I ended-up graduating "Cum Laude." Was my success due to listening to Mozart? You decide, but I think listening may have impacted my learning. I highly recommend this disc.

This CD is an example of the rush to capitalize on a recent psychological publication which found increases in subjects spatial IQ scores after listening to 10 minutes of Mozart's sonata for 2 pianos in D Major (K.448). The choice of tracks on this disk must be based on some adhoc criterion as only one Mozart piece was investigated in the study and this doesn't even appear on this disk! Nevertheless, subsequent studies have failed to replicate this finding. Mozart doesn't make you smarter!

This is just over all great classical music, maybe it makes you smarter maybe it does not, but that makes no difference. This classical music is just excellent all around and deserves to be listened to for its quality more then what it may or may not do for you.

Whoever said this CD was inconsistent was definitely unintelligent before and after "Mozart Makes You Smarter". I personally felt the music selection fit under the subject wonderfully and I wan't grumbling after I was finished listening to it. There is no reason why anyone couldn't approve of it since the symphonies, piano concerti, and chamber music were all flamboyant and never ceased to be allegro or at fortissimo. My brain was hungry for knowledge once my ears picked up the music and I certainly felt satisfied with every track.

The songs aren't all consistant, one moment it's quiet as a mouse, the next it's banging like trashcans falling over. The songs are all very pleasant, if not the typical mozart. The only noteworthy one I have to brag about would be #5 "Jupiter" is just beautiful. Only problem is, that it makes you jumpy, it just bangs and booms, though very thrilling once you get the hang of it.

Look at the way you write your english first of all and then comment on the CD. Your education needs to be honed and who knows you might just get lucky. Listening to the CD just to get wiser IS NOT the policy here...read books also will ya??!! I am concerned about you, dear fan of Mozart.
