Being a music education major, i tend to have a very critical ear whenever I am listening to any concert. During most concerts, i always have some constructive criticism, but in this DVD... the sound was very good, soloists did a marvelous job, and it was extremely enjoyable.

After singing this piece with a 80pc. choir and a college symphony orchestra, i found that this performance shows a good balance between sections, and a good balance between the choir and the orchestra. The only thing I have to complain about, is that it was performed in a HUGE building...so some of the sound is lost in the height of the building. But....nevertheless, a very enjoyable concert.

also colin davis`s Requiem is my most favorite.but
BBC philharmonic was better !! specially soloists

The performance by Collin Davis was excellent but the transfer onto DVD was not good. And I don't understand why the the company(Image Entertainment) did not provide English subtitles(lyrics). If more sincere efforts had been given, this could have been very enjoyable and thumbs up.
