Great for Parents and Kids,
By
This review is from: Mr. Apple's Family (Hardcover)
The book is a little dated but all the children are named after apples and the humor, although very 1950ish, will still make adults smile as they read it to their kids. Charming illustrations.

The first book I read,

This review is from: mr. apple's family (Hardcover)
This is the first book I read. My mother told me that when I got to school I would learn to read so I came home after the first day and asked her what every single word was - e.g. "What does "Em are period" spell?" and she would answer, "Mister" - etc. - this went on for every word. I LOVED this book and was just telling someone about it last week. Introduced the notion of give and take very well - Mr. and Mrs. Apple took turns naming the children because they each knew that they couldn't always have their own way. A very enlightening concept!!!

My Childhood Favorite,

I loved this book as a child. It originally belonged to my older siblings and my copy feel apart or was lost decades ago. I would love to see this book again, and I think many young children would still find it enjoyable.
